The restaurant had good view during the day and ambience. Food is just about Ok. However the place is very crowded and during peak season you may not be able to get place. In addition management is very rude. They deny entry even to the property at times which can be a mood spoiler. Strict serving hours without flexibility. Better look at other options.

Excellent service and food.Located on MG MARG central and easily accessible place.The momos here were one of the best especially the manner in which they were served in 3 tier tiffin with hot water enabling the momos to be piping hot until consumed.The washrooms were clean and well maintained.The staff was courteous.The open air place gave a great ambiance with the cold breeze adding to the pleasant atmosphere.To our pleasant surprise we had great offers of 1 free on 2 drinks plus 20% female discount on our bill too.Must visit place.

The location is very convenient. Food and drinks are awesome. Staff very courteous. Only downside is there are no room service. Strongly recommended as situated right on MG Marg. View from the restaurent is too good. The prices of the rooms are reasonable.

Location at mgmarg which is central for shopping etc. Double room with another furnished guest provided. Food is extremely hygienic mainly breakfast is just like 5star hotel. Enjoyble with living, food and hospitality. Restaurant is very big like party making place with a beautiful bar. At present no room service but enjoyed happily

We were given 114 room, there is exhaust phane making noise and we could not able to sleep, we have asked for change in room and after lot of discussion they changed to 115 even there there is noise. Over all experience is below average on the stay. The location is advantage and food served in hotel is fine.

Gangtok is a lovely town to visit and no place is better to stay than Tashi Delek. Our original plan of three nights turned into four nights, thanks to the ambience of the hotel and the friendly staff. The suite on the upper level was superb with a comfortable bed and great room service. Yak Bar, the terrace restaurant, provided a wonderful backdrop to cozy evenings with a warm fireplace and soft blankets. In our travels, we have tried a plethora of cuisines, but none like the ones offered at the Yak Bar. Although many of the items were standard fare, there were some exceptionally wonderful dishes including the vegetable thukpa, fried momos, pork in five spice sauce, burnt garlic fried rice, and tandoori prawns. My favorite was the chilli hakka noodle, cooked to perfection with a light charboiled aroma. The icing on the cake--seeing Kanchenjunga from our suite on our last day. Absolutely priceless!

The thoughtfulness and the attitude of the service staff at hotels is what differentiates an average hotel from a great one. Tashi Delek is probably one of the finest examples of providing a service that exceeds expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff that not only brought us hot water bags when we decided to brave the outdoor seating and freezing cold temperatures for gorgeous unobstructed views of Mt. Khangchendzonga but also offered to pack us a breakfast when we had an early flight. The rooms were clean, spacious, stylish and equipped with all the amenities. The food (especially the pork momos) and drinks (a great range of alcohol / cocktails) were on point! The location is simply unbeatable as the entrance is right on bustling MG Marg which is packed with cafes, restaurants, bars and boutiques. The icing on the cake is the people that gather around the fire pit in the evenings. It's truly a great place to meet like-minded travellers and locals and makes for some truly memorable conversations. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back!
