The 70-year-old hotel was recently renovated. Although there is no elevator, the staff will be very enthusiastic to help carry luggage back and forth. There is a staff member who speaks fluent English at the front desk, and there are many European and American tourists. After booking, the hotel will remind you that there is no convenience store nearby, so it is best to bring your own food. There are also drinks and instant noodles for sale at the front desk. The room is very clean, and Mount Fuji is visible from the window. The renovated open-air hot spring and sauna are also very good. Overall, it is a very cost-effective choice around Mount Fuji. The Shojin Lake with clouds and fog is really beautiful and quiet. Compared with other popular check-in spots, it has a sense of exclusive experience of Mount Fuji. It is highly recommended.

First of all, the service is excellent and friendly, and I think it might be the best value for money hotel among Mt. Fuji hotels. First of all, there are only 25 rooms in the hotel, so it's hard to make a reservation, so if your travel schedule and hotel availability allow, I definitely recommend making a reservation. You can park anywhere in front of the building. I rented a car and traveled there, so it wasn't inconvenient at all, but I thought it might be a little difficult to get there by public transportation. However, the open-air bath, sauna, and the hotel view of Mt. Fuji make up for it all. The room I stayed in had a separate bathroom and toilet, and there was a bidet in the toilet. The bathroom was cute like the one in Totoro. What was really sad was that the day I went, the clouds were so bad that I couldn't see Mt. Fuji very well. The view is still nice, though. The downside is that there's nothing to eat nearby. The convenience store next door closes early, along with the local convenience store. There's a curry place next door, but honestly, the taste is just so-so. If you're going to eat, get the fried flounder tendon. The curry isn't that great.

The hotel is old, but clean and nice. The staff is very friendly and the view is nice. I would 100% go there again.

There are small baths and open-air baths. Since there are not many guests, it will not be crowded even if it is small. The staff is friendly. On the night of check-in and the next morning when you return to the hotel after taking photos, you will be served drinks in the lobby. When you leave, they will take the initiative to take photos for guests at the door with Mount Fuji as the background. The hotel faces Mount Fuji, so you can see Mount Fuji from the door and from the room. The location is not in a busy city, so it will be more convenient to drive by yourself. There are not many shops nearby, so it is best to buy some food for dinner and breakfast. The hotel also sells cup noodles and a small number of snacks, as well as drink vending machines. The advantage of living here is that if the weather is good when you get up early in the morning, you can see Mount Fuji before setting off to take pictures. If you want to take photos at several nearby lakes, it is a good choice. You can also take beautiful photos on the top floor of the hotel. The hotel's TV will automatically turn on at six in the morning. It may be the morning alarm clock. It was not mentioned when checking in, which is a bit scary, but once I open the window and see the beautiful Mount Fuji, it doesn't matter.

This is a small hotel that has been open for 70 years. It is about 30 to 40 kilometers away from Fujinomiya City along the mountain road, about less than an hour. The owner is the second generation of the family. The surrounding environment of the hotel can be said to be perfect. It faces Lake Shojin and can see Mount Fuji. If the weather and luck are good, there will be a mirror of Mount Fuji on the lake. It is designed in pure Japanese style. You have to change into slippers when entering the hotel. The room is pure Japanese style with tatami sleeping. You can also see Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji from the room. The boss and staff were so polite that I felt embarrassed. Not only did they help carry your luggage to the room, but every time you went out, they rushed from the front desk to the lobby to get you shoes and slippers. It's nearby...there are basically no shops or restaurants. There is a Yamazaki convenience store about a minute's drive away. I was prepared in advance, so I brought good food and drinks. If you are looking for liveliness and convenience, you don't need to consider this place. This place is only suitable for tourists who are far away from the bustling city. This is one of my favorite hotels/inns.
