The Big Coconut Guesthouse - Gay Men's Resort

I don’t know where to start. Tom Matt and Jim been absolutely wonderful professional and courteous in all ways. They are friendly knowledgeable and always take care of what needs to be taken care of. Jim is great on the weekends and as happy hour bartender. Tom and Matt go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and like family during the week. David the owner bottle not have a better crew. My husband and I will definitely be back. Thankyou guys ❤️

Always our go to a guest house in fort Lauderdale. Just got home from an excellent 5-day visit, as usual great fun ‍♂️. Matthew, Tom, Jim & owner David always available for anything to make our stay GREAT, and it WAS! Lush tropical courtyard and cool inviting pool. Rooms extra large, comfy beds, full fridge, etc. meticulously maintained. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Guys, see ya soon

Our stay at the Big Coconut was amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, friendly and most importantly amazing!! The purpose of our trip was to relax and unwind and the Big Coconut gave us that opportunity! Having a Publix within walking distance and a short drive to Wilton Manor makes the location of the resort ideal. We definitely will be back!!

I LOVE this place. Tom, Matthew, and Dave are the absolute best. They encompass all that is true hospitality. This was not my first, nor will it be my last time staying at The Big Coconut Guesthouse. I live locally and still choose them over any other location when I want to get away. If you ask, they provide and are always willing to make suggestions on any event in the area. By far the most wonderful place to relax and spend time with friends. Can’t wait to stay again. I love you guys! See you soon.

This is a go to place for me This is my 5th or 6th stay. I had a large room with a kitchenet (Room 14) Nice big shower, great price. Matthew during the week kept the towels clean, provided all the room cleaning services when requested, and dining or places to go advice needed to keep the stay uneventful. He is a sweetheart Jim on the weekend was great!! It was a relaxing time away Other places may have more amenities but the Coconut beats them with staff a bit of hot coffee juice and packaged breakfast goods, snacks and water through the day. It is a convenient uber to Wilton Manor about 1.5 to 2 miles down the road and private. Publix and Walgreens is a convenient walk from this location

Whatever you're paying Matthew it's not enough. In business I spent many years spending an average of 125 nights per year in hotels. Never have I met anyone as friendly, enthusiastic, "Is there anything I can do for you?" anywhere. The facility was nice, the other guests were friendly, the location convenient. - From Mike and Ray

We took advantage of a special offer we received via email, "stay 2 night get the 3rd free." We enjoyed our much needed,SUNNY, weekend getaway. The staff was Great, the weather was Great and we meet some Great people while there. We have been staying at the Big Coconut for years and encourage others to give it a try. The grounds were beautifully relandscaped. Overall, A Great Place to stay !

I recently spent a week at a wonderful guesthouse, and from the moment I arrived until the time I checked out, I felt like I was staying with family. The owner and staff at this gem of a guesthouse made me feel welcome and comfortable in a luxurious way. The rooms are beautifully furnished and well-adorned with every comfort you could hope for but wouldn't expect from a typical "hotel." My room even had a DVD player with a selection of half a dozen movies. I brought one with me, which I donated for the enjoyment of the next guest. What makes the experience at The Big Coconut truly special is the friendly atmosphere, which encourages guests to socialize and get to know each other. The other guests were some of the nicest people I could have imagined meeting. The owner and staff actively encourage mingling, and on Friday and Saturday nights, the guesthouse hosts a happy hour with a variety of beverages to please everyone. Although I don't drink alcohol, there were plenty of non-alcoholic options too! I enjoyed chatting with Jim, the bartender, who also tended to the rooms. Tom Hazel, with his sarcastic sense of humor, went above and beyond to help me out. Matthew was one of the kindest and sweetest people, always willing to assist as well. The kindness and service from the entire staff exceeded what I've experienced at even the Four Seasons Hotels. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone seeking a similar type of establishment. The cost was quite reasonable, especially considering the other options in the Ft. Lauderdale area. The combination of price, environment, and quality made my visit perfect for what I was seeking. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Everything is very clean, and the staff is amazing and helpful. Owner also is very kind with anything you need. Communication pre, during and after the stay was great. They also provided beach equipment and everything I needed to have a great day at the beach. Hotel is very quiet even when the pool is open 24 hours.
