Emelisse Nature Resort

10 out of 10! This gorgeous intimate resort on the sea had the best hospitality, swimming, and food (and drinks)! Kiria Kitsa and Kiria Katerina bake everything and make the jams for the delicious and healthy breakfasts. Fresh orange juice, different Greek pastries, eggs, and pies along with yoghurt and other goodies on the balcony overlooking the bay and Lefkada — a wonderful way to start the day. The pool area is deluxe and comfortable and they always find shade and drinks delivered pronto. But the main event is the sea swimming which is incredible! We went three times per day. There is a ladder in to the deep refreshing sea, tasteful deck chairs, a rope to climb up the cliff. There were never more than 5 people there and it was absolutely heaven. The restaurant and bar couldn’t have been tastier and nicer. Costa is the consummate host. He is warm, funny, and has impeccable attention to detail — even when busy. It couldn’t have been better. Maria the chef is warm, engaging, and innovative about food and wine and only the highest quality seasonal products. It was amazing. The whole team was attentive warm and competent. We were very sorry to go… and the food was so fresh healthy and tasty. It’s also a very easy 10 minute walk to the lovely port of Fiskardo. We went there 2 nights and they have a shuttle back and forth there. The only part that was not satisfactory for us was the front desk. They were not as professional or helpful as the folks at the restaurant and pool. They made a mistake about our departure and did not say sorry. They fixed their mistake but didn’t say sorry. Also, I would suggest to put all the guests with children in one area so they can all get up early and cry together and everyone else can be an adult and sleep in on holiday. Kids are lovely to have around at the pool and sea and dinner and breakfast. But no one who has left theirs at home wants to wake up to screaming children on holidays… But we did not let that dim our view of everything else that was PERFECT at Emelisse! My wife & I had a lovely holiday in North Kefalonia, staying at this resort hotel. The place itself, the location, the food & especially the staff were absolutely brilliant. A number of members of my family have now stayed here, over the last few years, & with good reason - I expect we'll be back.

Wonderful experience as always. Stunning location with the most incredible views. I recently celebrated a special birthday and we chose to go to EMELISSE for dinner. The staff went above and beyond, the food was delicious and so were the wines. Thank you Maria for your hospitality and we hope to see you back in August when we head back to Kefalonia. We have just returned from a lovely stay at this hotel. We absolutely loved everything about our stay which was so relaxing. You will not be disappointed. The views from our balcony were spectacular. The staff were amazing, big shout out to Helena, Paris and waiters snd waitresses. Also Costas at the Votsalo restaurant which made our stay so perfect. A 10 minute walk will take you into Fiskardo or you can jump on the hotel shuttle bus. Emblissi beach a short walk away is paradise. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful time at Emelisse, the location is magical, the staff warm, welcoming and attentive. The nearby village of Fiskardo is a mere 10mins walk, while there is an abondance of beaches and trails to explore. I highly recommend to couples or families.

A really beautiful spot overlooking the sea on the hill above the charming village of Fiskardo (6-7 mins walk). Well appointed spacious rooms - we had an executive double with sea view which was perfectly lovely. Communal areas at reception with separate adult only pool area were all very stylish and the main pool area beautiful with stunning views out over Emblisis Bay. There are paths down across the rocks where you can sunbathe down on the water’s edge and directly access the sea. Also a stunning picture post card public beach a 7 minute walk away. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay was also pretty stunning. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Relaxed and warm but efficient. Particular mention to Costas in the restaurant who is everything you could want in a Maitre D. A charming guy and a bit of a legend!

This hotel is perfect in every way . The staff are amazing - truly - each and every one of them. are so welcoming . We had a double exec room with a side sea view and balcony . Four poster bed , decor very nice , so clean ! Maid came twice a day . Breakfast lovely - great selection . Lunch and dinner menus - yummy. We ate here once and on site hotel premium with a great wine list. The pool is stunning and deck chairs on rocks down by sea with ladders into sea. Ten minute walk into Fiskardo down a little grassy track . Emplisi beach is a 5 min walk ...spectacular turquoise sea - pebble beach . We loved it here and will definately return !

We stayed here for two weeks in September and had a lovely relaxing time. The room was spacious with a private balcony and sea view. The breakfasts were wonderful with coffee and orange juice and an enormous range of cooked, or continental food including a wonderful pistachio cake that I had most mornings. The staff were welcoming and so helpful and the location was lovely including two infinity pools, a nearby beach, a restaurant, two bars and a great place for swimming off the rocks. Every morning and evening free transport was included to take you into fiskardo, although it was only 15m walk. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Emelisse resort and had a truly amazing experience. Our room had a fantastic sea view and a spacious balcony where we could sit and relax. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with many homemade pastry options and the views from the terrace was spectacular. All of the staff were extremely courteous, professional, helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Fiskardo town has a variety of bars, restaurants and cafes and is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel, alternatively you can take the hotel shuttle bus. The spa offers a variety of treatments and Natasha gave a wonderfully relaxing massage. A special shout out to Evangelia who was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so helpful. I left a pair of glasses and AirPods in the taxi which took us to the airport and the hotel kindly sent them back to my home address at no charge - such great customer service. We will definitely recommend the resort to our friends and family and plan to make a return visit.
