Podumna Village

Booked PodUmna Village for a very large group of mature ladies, on the recommendation of a friend, & I can only describe every aspect as superb. Our lovely hosts and their staff went above & beyond to cater for any whim, accomodation was spotless & cosy even through poor weather. A truly unique experience, central to local shops, pubs and amenities. I am looking forward to a return family trip.

*What a great place and even nicer people* I was there for two nights on my friends Hen this weekend. It was there first weekend open for 2024! Dick , Liz and all the staff at Podumna went above and beyond for us , they made us feel so welcome from the minute we landed ,the attention to detail and nothing was too much to ask for- the simple touches , like a hot water bottle before going back to your cabin or the arranged lift to the local pub, it was all wonderful. I would highly recommend Podumna for anyone thinking of going glamping for a Hen. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. Thank you Dick, Liz and all the staff.. Niamh :)

From the minute we arrived Podumna village exceeded all of our expectations. Dick, Liz and staff are warm, friendly and extremely accommodating. The pods are fabulous, clean and comfortable. We had a large group including children visiting for a family birthday and every member from youngest to oldest thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had access to barbeque and kitchen facilities, there was lots of space for activities and it is right in the centre of Portumna and all of the amenities the town has to offer. If you are looking for something different for a family gathering this is the place to go! I can't recommend it highly enough - we will definitely be back.

This is without question, the best family holiday we have ever had. The site is safe, secure, charming, relaxed, with all the conveniences you’d need with a fantastic location. Dick and Liz are everything you’d want in hosts. Friendly, informative, and just good people, around when you need them without being in your face. They are just decent people. My 9 year old Caoimhe thinks Dick is her new bestie. Location is amazing with lots of tourist spots within walking distance and there is a SuperValu just minutes away. There is a huge kitchen and fab indoor and outdoor eating areas. The beds in the pods are very comfy and there are plenty of spotless toilets and showers. You can rent a bike too, even bring your pet in one of their cool trailers. We will definitely be back. I cannot recommend it enough.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Dick and Liz. They were absolutely amazing. We needed nothing while on our two night stay. Nothing was a problem. The whole weekend was planned and executed to perfection with their help. I would highly highly recommend a stay at Podumna village. The hen, Siobhan, was treated like royalty and she had a ball. We just got home from our weekend hen party at An Poduma. It was the most magical weekend full of fun, laughter, good food, music and so much more. Liz & Dick were the most welcoming people and couldnt of done any more for us. They honestly made our weekend so incredible and we will never forget it. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will be back for sure 😃

Where to start, checked in here at 11am on a Sunny Saturday morning for my sisters Hen Party. From start to finish the day, night and into the early morning went flawlessly. From the moment I first contacted Dick about organising my sisters hen it was plain sailing, and with a group of 37 women thats impressive. The pods themselves are super cute. Come with your beds, a little mirror, a heater and charging points for the phone. What more could you want. The bed and bedding was of good quality, spotlessly clean and really comfortable. As part of our package our food was catered for firstly berries and bubbles afternoon tea followed in the evening by pizza, wedges, chips and a selection of really good salads. Both meals were fab, afternoon tea was a very elegant affair with dressed tables and pretty teacups and a wonderful selection of sandwiches, wraps and treats.... Who doesn't love a good pizza party after 2 hours dancing to our own live band. Breakfast was great too, freshly cooked pastries, breads, fresh fruit and a selection of juices and cereals. Proper coffee too and any amount of it!! Decor here is class and quirky. Everything perfectly clean and pretty, it's missing nothing. Hot water bottles and blankets were dished out to us as the evening got chilly.. Nice touch. Would go back here in a heartbeat and will certainly bring my husband and three kids for a visit as Portumna is a beautiful little place. As for our hosts Dick, Liz and their girls, I believe a niece was on hand too, lovely family affair, they are all amazing. Nothing is any trouble or an issue. They even spent the day taking memorable snaps for us which was great. As a bridesmaid I totally got to hand over the reigns relax and enjoy every second of the day too. An absolute car load of drinks, decorations and gift bags were left at Dick and Lizs feet Friday morning, when we arrived back Saturday decorations were up, fridges were filled, balloons even blown up. The place looked impeccable. Will definitely be back to visit the character that is Dick and his wonderful wife. Loved the whole experience.

We had a group of about 41 for a hen over Easter weekend. I absolutely cannot recommend Podumna enough. The accommodation is beautiful & the service we received was second to none. If Podumna was a hotel it would be the Shelbourne. Dick, Liz, Jack, Nessa, John & all the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our hen weekend was the best any of us have ever been on. Thank you all so much. 6 ⭐️!

Went last week with my family and a gang of our friends and families, this place was just fantastic, just a brilliantly relaxing set up pod camping experience. Pods were great, clean and very cosy. Facilities such as toilets, showers and dining area were immaculate, a fantastic communal kitchen that could cater for an entire army. A lovely sheltered outdoor seating area for chilling in the evenings. Campsite is basically in the town centre, but you'd never think it while in the campsite, its so quiet, very handy for getting supplies literally 2 minutes down the road. Portumna is a great little town too, very relaxed and the people are very friendly and down to earth. Lots to see and do nearby, the castle, lake, forest park, this campsite is also a fantastic relaxing base to venture into other places like Galway city, 50 minutes away when we went last Saturday by car. This place is just a really great relaxing fun experience especially for groups that want to book together like we did. The owners are really really lovely people and were very helpful. I can't wait to go back!
