Hotel Hochfilzer

We had a wonderful stay and we are very grateful to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality. The hotel is family orientated and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious - well done to the chefs and kitchen staff. We enjoyed the family room as it consists of two seperate rooms which was a big bonus. We will definitely try our best to return to this wonderful place.

Yet another wonderful stay.The weather was decidedly mixed with a combination of beautiful sunny days heavy rain and the greatest amount of snow we have ever experienced in the many years we have visited here.No matter it was just such a pleasure to be there once again.The Hochflizer is such a special place to visit.First and foremost are the Staff who go out out of their way to make sure you have a great time,and nothing is ever too much trouble for them.Standards here are first class but what makes this hotel a standout is that each guest is made to feel so special,and this very much comes from the owner,Ingrid,for her attention to detail,and her great social interaction with her guests.Having visited over twenty times ,to maintain such high standards must be extremely difficult,but this is what Ingrid and her Staff have managed to achieve.

Having already stayed at the Hochfilzer in 2020 , this time we stayed in the Flora Hotel just a 2 min walk from main hotel. Newly refurbished to a very high standard, super clean, great beds, massive walk in shower and underfloor heating. Two balconies with picture windows of the mountains. Friendly staff focused on our care, reception were very informative in the booking process. I have dietary issues which were catered for, even arranging for yeast free bread to be put on our table each breakfast and evening mealtime. Although all the staff we encountered were helpful and professional, a special thank you to Patrizia at breakfast (she was especially helpful with advising of a local GP), Goran in the restaurant/bar and Isuru and Andrea on reception. We booked half board. Breakfast was great and the evening meal is high restaurant quality and all home cooked. Ski Bus right at end of the drive and you can walk across the road to access some lifts for Going area. Large Ski room with heated boot holders. There is a small wellness area which incudes a sauna which was very welcome at the end of a days skiing. We were unfortunately ill for a couple days in our stay. While they do not offer room service it was not wise for us to attend the restaurant. Without hesitation they created a room service box of food for us and the even made sure they presented this as a nice experience. Given the main hotel restaurant for evening meals is 300m up the road this was definitely above and beyond. We could not have been happier with our second stay at this Hotel and personally preferred the Flora being a smaller and quieter experience.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Every member of staff goes above and beyond their duty to ensure every need is met for guests. the rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, The restaurant has a wide variety of salads every day and a varied menu, with choice of main course, plus a vegetarian course, and the bar is a welcoming place after the day's activities. On some evenings there is live music. My husband and I have been many times to this Hotel and would not consider going anywhere else. Especially as on our recent visit my husband became ill. The staff at the Hotel could not do enough to help us and make our lives as easy as possible at what was a very worrying time.

Location was in the centre of town on a quiet street so perfect. The staff where all 1st rate. The food was amazing and the facilities where outstanding in the evening there was a fantastic ambiance about the hotel everything was perfect and the entertainment of music from local artists was spot on

I stayed here for four days with my daughter and my parents and loved everything. The hotel is traditional Austrian looking from the outside but the inside is updated while maintaining the Austrian style. We had a family room with two bedrooms and a kitchen so it was very spacious and we had a balcony with a view of the Wilde Kaiser. The kitchen hasn’t really been updated but it was perfect for our needs with a fridge and cooktop. The bathroom was updated and massive with separate toilet room. Everything was very clean in the room and in public areas. We booked breakfast and dinner and the selections were great. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The town is quaint with plenty of shopping and restaurants if you want to eat elsewhere. And there are lifts within walking distance plus a free bus. Parking right at the hotel can be hard to come by but there is a free lot only a few minutes walk away.
