Valamar Tirena Hotel

The perfect stay. Room:- the room was spotless, very clean and modern. Large TV with Netflix and YouTube. The hotel smells lovely. Shower was powerful and always hot. Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows. We had a ground floor with garden view which faced the pool. Some fire exits can be used as entrances when room key is swiped which is very helpful. Air con is easy to use. The hotel was very accommodating with late check out. Pool: the pool is very clean, plenty of Sunbeds and day beds in the sun and the shade, lots of umbrellas provided. 2 children’s pools also. Clean towels provided daily at the pool. Food&drink: the breakfast had a great choice. Lots of fresh foods and plenty of options. Staff very helpful. We also used the Olivia restaurant by the pool, lovely meals with take away or dine in options. Location: Mini mart a five minute walk- handy for cold drinks, water, ice creams etc (cheaper than hotel). the hotel is around 10-15 minutes on the bus from the old town, (bus stop is 5 minute walk through the hotel gardens) buses are €2 each way and are around every 5 minutes. Last bus back from old town is around midnight. Uber is around €6-7 from old town of a night. Overall we would recommend this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was lovely, so well thought out and great for kids. All the little details were covered like kids shower gel in the bathroom on arrival, the kids pool had a little canopy to keep it shaded once it got hotter. Maro world was brilliant for all ages and a great activity on a rainy morning. So many little beach bars and some lovely restaurants nearby that you can walk to easily. By the pool there is Oliva grill, food was fantastic and the staff were excellent. All so friendly and helpful - particularly Mario and Tonio who our little girl loved! The hotel is also connected to the other hotels in the group but all spread out and you can walk between them and down to the beaches along a coastal path and you can also access the promenade into Lapad. There's also a busy that goes straight into Dubrovnik. We had the best time, and would recommend to couples and families alike.

We really enjoyed our stay at Valamar Resort. The rooms were newly renovated and very nice. The hotel was also newly renovated and very clean. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. There were plenty of amenities to keep us busy during our stay.

Great place to spend with family... Food (we have so good breakfast and dinner) , pool, workers all was amazing. If you go to Dubrovnik with family this is Hotel for you. Near Hotel are beautiful Beach bar and beach, beautiful view on montains.

This is a terrific resort especially for families, but also for friends. We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed all of the hotel amenities and especially the lovely staff. Mario in the pool restaurant Oliva was excellent! What a superb place to base our introduction to Croatia and Dubrovnik.

This is an amazing Hotel. It is so clean and modern inside. The aircon is the best in any hotel we have stayed in. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. About 40 minutes from the airport. Our room was beautiful with an amazing view over the peninsula. The food was to my liking and plenty of choices. We went as a couple but it was mostly familys in the hotel with lots of young children. It is the first time that we have gone out of the front door of an hotel to find the pool area. It is normally at the back of the hotels we have stayed in. The pool area was perfect for younger children and the entertainment was good with music playing all the time. The pool itself was just the right temperature. Lots of different sunbeds and no paying to reserve any. Lovely pool bar and restaurant where you can sit in or take out. Towels provided in a kiosk at the pool. This is one of my favourite hotels and hope to revisit.

We loved the atmosphere nearby our hotel. We were both days helped by Tonci that we came to eat diner at the restaurant! If you don’t want to go to old town which is always super crowded, this is definitely the place to hangout and have a nice diner. We will definitely come back !!!

Hotel was filling our needs and expectations perfectly. Everything was clean and working great. The staff was always very helpful, specially Tonci and his crew in the poolside Oliva restaurant! We had several nice lunches and dinners there.

This is a lovely clean hotel with friendly staff. There are three other hotels linked to this one with pathways leading to each one and you can use the facilities in all of them. This hotel has facilities for children like the kids club and splash pool. Only had breakfast which was self service with plenty of choice. There is a bus stop at the top of the road or you can walk to the bus station outside of the President hotel it takes about 5 minutes to get to Lapad or 20 minutes to get to the Old Town Pile gate. There is also a coastal path you can pick up by the President hotel which takes you to Lapad it has bars and restaurants along it. Takes about 30 minutes to walk though we never did it in one go because we would stop at one of the bars for a drink. Also at the back of this hotel are a few supermarkets, bars and restaurants which were handy but just behind them in a bit of a run down area which was not in keeping with the rest of the resort. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Dubrovnik
