My overall experience with royalton adults only chic Antigua will get a 10/10 review, but I must warn if it wasn’t for the vibes, staff members, and overall feeling at the resort they would have scored much lower. Before I get into this review, I want to give special shoutouts to guest services manager Makeba, front desk receptionist Yaskee, bellboy supervisor Dwight, bell boy Samien, pool bar Joshua, Excite bartender Damyon, pool bar Lashawn, lifeguard Anthony, DJ Berroa, supervisor Jean, vibe team members Nadia, Kalique, Keithroy, and waitress Unique. You all are the reason why this review gets a 10/10. You are the reason why we want to plan a trip back to Antigua. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for your kindness, generosity, support, suggestions, and most importantly for overextending yourself for our satisfaction. Without all of your tenacity and gracious hearts, I’m not sure Royalton would score well, be considered as a destination again, or receive the standing ovation we will continue to give on its behalf. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a cold towel and mimosas, which is really helpful for the almost heatwave temperature you experience. You are helped by some of the friendliest front desk people I have ever met. I had the pleasure of meeting Makeba, who I had been in email contact with to coordinate birthday decor for the two birthdays we were celebrating on our trip. Additionally, Vaness and Yaskee helped facilitate my check in with the help of an amazing manager Jose. Personally, I recommend having Jose assist should there be any complications with checking in. Unfortunately, check-in was made extremely complicated by the miscommunication and contradictory instructions between the reservations team by email versus the female manager who was present after Jose’s departure. Thank you so much Rafael Rodriguez( Royalton Dominican Republic) for assisting with the planning and facilitation of this trip. Rafael and I communicated over email prior to my arrival and even after reaching the hotel. You were amazing and so helpful. However, I would have liked the same service I received over email to be translated by the female manager who was facilitating my check-in. I wished she would have had a better understanding of the situation at hand and see how frustrating it was to deal with contradictory statements between the management helping me with my reservation vs her onsite responses. Once check in was solved, we made our way to rooms. We were assisted by Dwight and Samien, they gave us the full rundown of the resort. What to dos, what not to do, and how to best capitalize on our trip. They both continued to check on us frequently throughout our trip making sure everything was going well.
