I arrived at the inn, after having spent 13 hours on the road, a much longer time than anticipated due to snow. I was really looking forward to a soak in the hot tub or a swim in the pool..listed as amenities in the advertising. Both were being renovated and were not open. They had a major roof leak that they were working on and had a pipe burst that had been repaired but I was warned to run the water for awhile to get the black residue out. I checked in and went up to my room only to find it freezing and the heater didn’t work. I called down to the front desk and the young lady who checked me in immediately responded. She tried the heater and gave me the key to a new room which she had already checked out to make sure things were working. She was so kind, I was exhausted, so I stayed the night. I stay in Davenport at least four times a year as I travel between Colorado and Michigan. I have stayed at many different facilities and have been happy. I thought I would try Baymont Inn, and figured the renovations must be mostly completed based on previous reviews and the advertising . I was very disappointed. The nice young lady at check in was the only positive thing about the stay.
