Great location - a few miles from ancient Cuenca. Excellent restaurant on site. Super breakfast. Friendly staff

This hotel was a little gem of a find on an unexpected road trip from southern to northern Spain (due to UK Air Traffic Control issues). Online reviews looked good and the location was perfect in respect of the area around which we planned to make our first overnight stop. On arrival we were greeted by two very friendly and welcoming reception staff, one of whom showed us two rooms which were available to accommodate our family of four. The hotel is beautiful, blending the old building with modern twists and furnishings. The sizeable outdoor pool set in its own garden was the perfect way to cool off after a very long drive. The inner courtyard is stunning and made for a perfect setting for our pre-dinner drinks. We dined in the very a**ospheric and beautifully appointed restaurant where many main dishes are cooked on coals at the side of the main seating area. The smell of the charcoal and cooking was fantastic and the food was superb and very tasty. A very good wine list gave us a great choice. Having just driven through the wine region of La Mancha, it was an easy decision to opt for a very nice bottle of Finca Antigua Reserva (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah blend) which accompanied our meat beautifully. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The rooms were perfectly adequate and air-conditioned. The hotel is quiet and tranquil yet has a wonderful understated buzz about it. Breakfast the following morning was offered for a small additional cost and was adequate if a little limited but it was perfect to get us ready for another long day ahead. The town of Cuenca itself is gorgeous so this hotel is perfect for anyone transiting the area or perhaps visiting Cuenca itself. We would not hesitate to return.

Great except for the music in the foyer that could be hear gently weeping through the bedroom walls during siesta. Perfect other than that. Personally we loved the fact that it was a family friendly hotel with lots of kids running around - also dog friendly too 😊😘

We spent one night here and was very impressed with our spacious and tastefully decorated refurbished roon. The restaurant was great and reasonably priced. What's not to like for the price they are asking

Don’t waste your time or money. What a mistake to stay here. The rooms are awful: stench of moist, a wall A/C unit to heat the room was noisy and had to be turned off at night due to its noise level. The room was depressing, and the bathroom was straight out of the 1960’s. It was disgusting. The front desk person was rude and at checkout they even tried charging us for breakfast, which we didn’t have.

Great value for money overall. I stayed one night only, but the experience exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort of the beds, room size, surrounding area, the breakfast quality and variety and the fact that the Hotel common areas are pleasant. Look forward to next visiting

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this charming hotel, situated in unbelievably beautiful countryside, just outside Cuenca main town. Although there is plenty of free parking at the Castile, we love walking and are relatively fit so chose to enjoy a very pleasant scenic stroll from the hotel into, and out of, Cuenca. The hotel itself is super clean, the staff attentive and breakfast plentiful. Little tips… if you want to have an evening meal and drink in Cuenca the hotel staff will order a taxi for you and most restaurants will organise one for your return - cost €10 going, €12 return. We had a truly lovely stay at this hotel as part of our Spanish road trip and would definitely return here without hesitation.

Hotel siuado en un entorno de ensueño. Personal encantador, muy profesional y servicial. Comida buenísima (tanto los entrantes como la carne y verduras a la parrilla, todo lo que probamos estaba espectacular). Habitaciones muy confortables. Fuimos un grupo de animgos pero es un hotel ideal tanto para ir con niños, como en pareja o con amigos. Repetiremos seguro con nuestro hijo
