Livvo Risco Del Gato. My first visit to Fuerteventura! The hotel is not so central and it's almost one hour from the airport. The hotel pool was tiny but descent. To the beach it's approximately 200 meters and it so beautiful there! The reception staff Conchy and Miranda was accommodating and friendly and made sure I had a great stay and was really friendly! The breakfast was disappointing. Not good selection and seemed like a English buffé with beans and eggs. But the omelets was really good which Lionel made perfect! But why I choose this hotel is because it's dog friendly!

We recently spent 10 days at the Risco del Gato Suites in Costa Calma, and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warmth and friendliness. The suites are delightful and spacious, featuring a large bedroom with two double beds, a luxurious bathroom with a Jacuzzi, a separate shower, and double basins, along with a generous supply of toiletries. The suites are nestled within beautifully maintained gardens, offering stunning views of the ocean—a perfect setting for relaxation. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, and a spa. These amenities provide plenty of opportunities to unwind and enjoy the serene atmosphere. When it comes to dining, the hotel excels. There are two restaurants: one serves a buffet breakfast and dinner, while the main restaurant stands out for its exceptional quality. The food and service were consistently outstanding throughout our stay.at all the venues As lovers of fish, we were particularly impressed by the great variety available, which added a lot of enjoyment to our meals. I highly recommend the Risco del Gato hotel to anyone seeking a unique and luxurious getaway.

We enjoyed our week at the hotel, the weather was perfect 28 degrees and sunny every day, 20 degrees at night, but always a nice cooling breeze throughout the day. We stayed DBB, and the food is a good standard, with friendly staff. Breakfast is a buffet with a variety of options, and there is a chef cooking eggs to order. Dinner is a mix of buffets and 4 course a la carte with a choice of 2 or 3 options. Each suite has a private courtyard with 2 sun beds, ours had sun from 10:30 to 3:30, and there was also a table and 2 chairs outside in our little garden overlooking the sea in the distance. The bathroom had 2 sinks, a shower, a jacuzzi bath for 2, and a toilet, with a window looking out on the private courtyard. The bedroom was large with 2 double beds, with sliding doors to the private courtyard, and there was a lounge with a fridge and settee overlooking the gardens. The air conditioning was very efficient. There are 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool, which were not used by many guests, so always plenty of sun beds. There is also a small spa, a gym, and an outdoor hot tub that you have to ask to be turned on. The complex is very well kept and always clean and tidy. There is a Spar supermarket within 10 minutes walk. Costa Calma is a small resort with several large hotels directly on the beach. Our hotel was set behind these, about 15 minute walk to the beach and 20 minutes walk back because of the steep slope. The town beach is long with golden sand and lots of sunbeds (15 euros per day for 2 beds and an umbrella). There is another quieter lovely beach just beyond the Hotel Esmeralda with the same bed/umbrella options (usually all taken by 11am). Above this is a very good restaurant/bar during the day. There are several small sandy coves before you get to the miles of Sotavento beach; just watch out for the tide times! The hotel is very quiet, with hardly any music and nothing organised in the evening, not even a bar. The restaurant closes at 21:30. Some may like this, but for us it was too quiet. The other downside is the distance from the beach, especially in the hot sun. We enjoyed our stay, but would choose a hotel on the beach in future, with a little more going on at night.
