Salamandra Plaza B&B

Very good location and view. Noisy with the square but we expected that and noise stopped by midnight. Size of room El sol is 10sqm, feels very small. Nice roof terrace. Worst part is the water, all reviews are accurate, you literally get a dribble… took me forever to wash my hair. Really?? Also B&B description is slightly deceptive as there is no Breakfast on offer.

Worst ever , stayed for 3 nights , no sleep from noise in the square , flighting , music till 5 in morn . No hot water , oh and the drain smell 🤮🤮 spoke to cleaner and nothing done !! Please don’t book, am sure better places, stays they offer bfast No they don’t !!!

Unfortunately although in the centre of Cómpeta with convenient bars and restaurants, the hotel was very basic and lacking amenities. The room had no heating which in February would have been welcomed. Shower was little more than a trickle. No breakfast as stated. Overall would not recommend.

We sadly had to cancel our reservation as I was rushed into hospital as an emergency. The owners have been extremely helpful as we have had issues with *********** refunding us - even though the hotel had agreed to a full refund. Very disappointing! I would recommend booking direct with them and steer clear of using a 3rd party agent Looking forward to rebooking our visit to Competá

Our second stay at Salamandra Plaza. This time we stayed in El Cielo on the top floor. Lovely apar**ent with a small kitchen area with it's own terrace. Also have access directly to the main roof top terrace which is shared with the rest of the apar**ents. Breakfast can be taken at any of the 3 restaurants in the square or another close by.

liked the area &the view however very disappointed at the facts that there was no safe in the room, on the first evening around midnight a complete stranger entered the room even though the door was locked. the bathroom door didnt lock, from Thursday 28th July the water in the toilet was continually running.This was reported to the office on Friday 29th July & we were assured they would send someone to repair it. No one came. On the Saturday evening at 8-45 we were about to go for dinner, meeting up with some of our family, when we checked the door after leaving the apar**ent we realised it wouldn't lock. we rang the emergency number & after 3 frantic phone calls 2 men came, unfortunately they did not speak English. Unable to fix the door they disabled the electronic lock & gave us a single manual key. This was now 10-15p.m. & we had to cancel our meal with our family. This also spoilt our plans for the Sunday as my wife & I had arranged to be at separate locations with different members of our family. The water in the toilet was still running on Monday 1st August so I rang the office who said they would send a plumber. The plumber arrived but could not fix it so stopped the water. We now had no flushing toilet. We were then given A BUCKET to use, to fill the bucket from the sink & pour it down the toilet. The office texted at 12.05 to inform us that the boss(Carlos) wanted to apologise personally to us. He never contacted us!!! .

This place is amazing, design og the rooms are perfect and the view overlookking the center square in Competa is stunning. They have an eye for details in this hotels, simply wonderfull

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral am Dorfplatz. Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbraucht und dafür war es okay. Das Zimmer ist aber für 3 Personen schon wirklich äußerst eng und die Schlafcouch auch etwas tricky zum aufbauen. Wir hatten 1 Nacht inkl. Frühstück gebucht. Für das Frühstück bekamen wir einen Gutschein. Diesen konnten wir in einem von drei lokalen Gaststätten einlösen. Wir haben uns für das Lokal direkt am Marktplatz entschieden. Jeder konnte sich eine Speise aussuchen, den Rest mussten wir separat bezahlen. Parken kann man nur weiter unterhalb auf einem Parkplatz aber man kann theoretisch zum Koffer ausladen bis zum Hotel fahren.

Mi mala reseña es únicamente en relación a su sistema de reservas que no nos ha permitido ir y alojarnos. Me han regalado una caja Vivabox, así que después de buscar entre muchos alojamientos nos decidimos a llamar primero a este por sus aparentemente buenas reseñas. Antes de llamar compruebo en la web de este establecimiento en Cómpeta que, para los días que pretendemos hacer la reserva tienen varias habitaciones disponibles, pues no eran días de fin de semana, quiero aclarar que mi caja concretamente en este alojamiento da opción de reservar una noche en habitación superior con desayuno, o en una estándar con desayuno y cena. Es decir, tengo flexibilidad en fechas, y supuestamente puedo optar a dos tipos de habitaciones distintas, que además en su web aparecen varias habitaciones disponibles, así que me animo a llamar ya que a través de VIVABOX solo me permite reservar por teléfono y pido la reserva, diciéndoles que iba con una caja Vivabox, me hacen esperar a ver si tienen disponibilidad los días que pregunto y....BINGO! me responden con que no tienen disponibilidad. Sin embargo por su web no daba problema la reserva para las habitaciones que aparecían disponibles los días que pregunté. Antes de colgar le he comentado que llamaba precisamente porque en su web sí había disponibilidad en distintas habitaciones, y lo único que han podido decirme es que no sabían a que se debía y que lo verificarían, sin más opciones, (ni si quiera me dieron opción a pagar un suplemento para alojarme en las que tenían libres como me han respondido después en la reseña que dejé en otro portal) Esta experiencia me ha servido para no poder recomendarlo a ninguno de mis contactos, ya que el error o falta de diligencia en la gestión de reservas no me ha permitido alojarme.
