Williams Beach Retreat

First let me state that I am aware that you get what you pay for. And I've no problem whatsoever with living spartanly. As long as it is fresh and that the hotel's description of themselves is consistent with the truth. For 15 nights I paid (in different currencies) 1950 Sek €172 $186 £148 Rs 15,500 Cleaning doesn't automatically take place daily, you have to leave your keys at the reception and let them know. You have to pester them every single time about toilet paper and every single time they fail to put new ones. If something needs to be fixed in the room, it is not enough to tell the reception, you been told to tell the handy*** Francis. So it was up to me to look for him. Bed linen and towels smell clean but are full of disgusting stains. Not to mention the bed mattress which was really nasty! Same thing with the pool wouldn't even dip little toe in it. I stayed at the Williams for two weeks and only once was it cleaned properly. Speaking of the pool, it "opens" at 8 in the morning and then people in in until around midnight. And people bath in it with clothes on or in undies... Williams claims they have 24/7 room service, they absolutely do not! There is not even an intercom in the room. The lobby bar may have been there once upon a time, but it was probably a long time ago. People I spoke to who went to Colva for ***y years said that Williams was once really luxurious, but as I said, that was a long time ago. Something good then? Yes, the guys at the reception were very nice and were really good at English. Proximity to the beach, takes about 10 minutes to get there.

The hotel claims to be 2 star it’s not the rooms are small and dirty the tvs don’t work they need rechargeing after asking 3 times told your only here for 4 days the worst problem was the sewage the drains are blocked so raw sewage was running out side my balcony the whole room stunk you couldn’t use the air conditioner as it made the room smell even worse and once again told your only here for 4 days well we cut short our stay don’t stay here it’s the pits

I was saved by luck. I was alloted room no 216..The gyser was directly connected to the shower... We were getting very hot water from shower only and cold water from tap . No scope of adjus**ent of water temperature. The reason why I was about to die while bathing was the direct connection of hot water to shower which was of metal.. while I was applying soap I lifted my hand and tip of my finger touched the shower...I got a very bad shock and was thrown away..I was saved by the grace of Almighty God.. I am attaching the image of shower.. The matter was reported to the ***agement.. the hotel does not follow minimum safety.. hygiene and cleanliness is very bad... TV also was not working. Staff were also not proper...overall very bad experience...please don't book this hotel online as you will never come to know the safety issue.. please check the attached images of metal shower which has direct connection of hot water on it.

Just don’t go there, they charged me one night than I really stayed, swimming pool is closed and never will be on again, sheets already used, noisy all night , really dirty and unfriendly place. There are so ***y nice places further near Benaulim. Just keep far from this supposed-to-be hotel

There was no water in the toilet and the staff didn’t respond to phone call and not in sight

One of the best, cozy, relaxing and reliable stay within a pocket friendly package all i can say... owner is very polite and down to earth.. swimming pool is clean, they have their inbuilt restaurant with good food n drink options again with affordable range..they do not use any kind of artificial flavors which may upset our stomach..Rooms are having proper ventilation and AC...guiser is insider the bathroom...very nearby beach, market, stores, eateries and wine shops.. must visit all i can say.. thanks for such a wonderful stay experience

We booked 2 rooms in Williams beach retreat from 6th to 9th of Oct for 5 family members.The hotel rooms were in such a dilapidated state that it was not habitable. They were offering such a rundown property where construction was going on. The place was full of dust and fungal moulds .The rusty plumbing and taps which wouldn't shut off individually. Strong smelly lingering odour filled the air. The pool which stands out in the photos is just a tank. I had to move my family out immediately and we did so. I had to forgo my full booking amount of Rs 12000. The members at the reception (Dickson Rodrigues)though sympathatetic were unhelpful . They would not give us the phone numbers of the promoters, Onassis Fernandes. They asked us to write an email and contact them. On my return i did try to contact through emails which bounced back. The phone numbers were not reachable. Seriously do not book in this property, you are likely to loose money and peace of mind
