Ulasan De Chai Colonial Hotel & Spa

Our room was wonderfully spacious. There are compliments cookies and tea selection. The hairdryer is very old and slow though. I like the aromatherapy spa downstairs very much, they used coffee bean grounds and rose oil. The skin is very smooth after. Grateful that the staff helped us with late checkout so that we could complete the spa then check out.

Very comfortable beds. The massage is so good. The staff are so nice and the breakfast it was so yummy. All in all, a wonderful experience.

We really liked this hotel but this year it was less. The shower leaked and it kept changing from hot to cold.

Location of the hotel is within walking distance to Pai Night Market (abt 3-5mins). The location of the hotel is near to shops, but far away from the crowds or noise. The hotel is in a beautiful settings; lush greeneries all over the place. The staffs are friendly, and ever ready with a smile on their face. We loved the room that we were allocated in, which is on the ground level. The room was clean and spacious. However, we do find the mattress a bit too hard for our liking. The hotel provides free parking for guests. We also loved the breakfast area and breakfast selections. The hotel has a resident cat which we absolutely adored! The cat is a manja (spoiled) furkid!

Condition of hotel is abit run down. The wifi doesn’t work well and may stop intermittent which can get frustrating. The breakfast offered is liimited but sufficient for a simple meal. Staff were friendly and always greeting and welcoming. Location is fairly convenient. Afew minutes work to 7/11, massage parlours, cafes and about 20mins walk to Chinatown.

The staff at De Chai were incredible and made us feel so welcome during our stay. They are very accommodating and want to ensure you have an awesome time. The buffet breakfast had a lot of options from western food to Thai food and plenty of drink options. I would also recommend having dinner at the on-site restaurant too. The pool has a bar right next to it with a great cocktail menu. The location is very easy to walk around to get to markets or to find a Tuk-Tuk. There is also a tourist centre right next door to help book activities for you.

Good stay. Always good to see hotels have been able to accommodate people who are less accessible abled.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel staff are super friendly and the food & drinks are delicious. Great location as well in terms of proximity to the center and walking distance to most things, restaurants and bars included.

Probably one of the best hotels for value. Friendly service staff and extremely prompt services. Breakfast with a wide variety and easy enough to navigate around from the hotel

This is the second time myself and my wife have stayed in this well managed hotel. The first time was in December 22 on our first vacation to Chiang Mai. The comfort and amenities of our room together with the polite friendliness of all staff left a lasting impression on both of us. We enjoyed Chiang Mai and decided to return again in June this year. We booked our stay with the same hotel for 10 nights. We were not disappointed. During our stay I introduced myself to David, the hotel manager. I was impressed with his friendly and genuine interest in the comfort of his guests. To his credit this is a reflection which is demonstrated by hotel staff. If in the future we decide to return to Chiang Mai I we would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel.

Service was good, staffs are friendly and welcoming. The location was located at a somewhat secluded location but still acceptable as we could use Grab to get going. However the shower was a big letdown. The water was either too hot or too cold, we cant adjust it to warm. We booked 3 rooms and all rooms have this problem. The staff even checked the other rooms and informed the other rooms have the same problem as well. Although the staff was trying to help in every way he can, but still couldn’t solve the problem. So 5/5 for service and attitude, but 1/5 for water heater

For us, the location was great, as it was quiet, yet close enough to the ancient city. For others, the 200m walk may be too much. The breakfast was good. Staff was helpful and friendly. Wifi was good. The only bothersome aspect was the water pressure and temperature fluctuated wildly during each shower. The room size, comfort and design was good.
