Alexis Hotel

The Alexis hotel is a family run hotel and they make you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a partial view of the water. The breakfast provided is ample and has a very good selection of items to please most every one I would.say.. We especially would like to thank Theo the owner who was so helpful in answering questions and suggesting a rental car company. We also want to say Frode was amazing and had the patience of a saint with all of our other questions and helping us with the bus routes and where to buy a sim card. Thanks so much so a great stay . We had a great time in Chania and were satisfied with everything!Everyone was very kind and friendly! The hotel is very clean , our room was comfortable with a beautiful seaview .The Theodosi restaurant is really great and nice!The breakfast and the menü choice dinner was delicious and excellent, professional service.There are shops and a very good bakery nearby.The Old Town is 30 minutes walk away, but the bus transport is also good.Thank you very much for everything!☺️

For me Hotel Alexis is always the first address in Chania! 5 stars for the rooms with great bed, 5 stars for the location with a great view and 5 stars for each and every one of the staff! Thank you for many good times in this wonderful hotel - my Cretan family!

A nice small family run hotel and all the staff were lovely. What was a killer was the hill to walk up to get to it. 🤣 even after 2 weeks, it didn't get any easier. We went Bed And Breakfast but ate at the hotel a couple of times. This was where it was let down. First meals had strange concoctions of flavours that didn't quite go together. The second meal I'm sad to say just felt like microwaved ribs and frozen wedges, typical that you'd get in any chain pub 🇬🇧 and the prices they charged I found was quite high. The last snack on our last day was Pizza, you can't go wrong with pizza right? Sadly you can. Bland confused almost burnt. I don't understand why we had 3 terrible meals, when the restaurant seemed to be busy and seemed to have good reviews. Would we stay again. Certainly on a Room only basis, and if the hotel was located at the bottom of the hill. But then you wouldn't get the stunning views. Is it good for people with walking (wheelchair) disabilities... no sadly On another note, it was within walking distance to the old town (about 20 min walk) and a taxi back was €7.

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Relation between standard and price is fine. Breakfast are satysfying with a good selection of products. Rooms are renovated and clean.

This is a small friendly hotel located outside Chania on high ground with great views and a great restaurant. Access to the hotel is either a very steep hill or a walk across some rough wasteland. There is a small but well kept dipping pool with a few loungers ( nice for a cooling dip rather than set up for the day) Would have used the basic gym but it was located in the main reception open to view to anyone coming in or going out of the hotel - personally I think this space could be better utilised as never saw anyone use it over 10 days…. Location wise the hotel is a good 45 mins walk into the centre of town either along a very busy main road or by going down to the nearest beach (10 mins) across the wasteland and following the coast line. The nearest bars/ restaurants are on this route about 20 mins away. The rooms are small but adequate - great large bed, modern bathroom, good air con. Sat tv, fridge, hairdryer- the furniture however was tired and there wasn’t enough storage space for clothes, no kettle so took our own (borrowed cups and glasses from the restaurant attached to the hotel). Doors on the corridors were very noisy even when being careful! And there was no lift. The very good restaurant attached is open to the public and if you are half board you use the restaurant which has great modern interpretations of Greek food. The breakfast was in the restaurant and had lots of choice though the hot food was limited. Nearly all the staff in the hotel are lovely and it was a pleasure to engage with them. Apart from a grumpy waiter in the restaurant in the evenings who came across a bit off. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. Only negative for us was the access and location.

An amazing experience. All of the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome even if we didn't speak the same language. The hotel was very clean in an excellent location, you can eat breakfast and have a view of the sea. I look forward to my next visit.

Great service combined with a great location. The views were spectacular and the hotel was walking distance from the beach and the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place would 100% recommend!

Best service, I've ever had. 😊 Perfect view, lovely beaches around. Amazing food and cocktails in their restaurant. Not in the city, but you can have a wonderful walk to the city center on the seaside. I can recommend to everyone.
