Hotel Riva Del Sole

Nice location, friendly saff, clean and find many street parking in the fall(24hrs 11.00 €). Like most hotel in Sicily building is old so if ypu are a light sleeper you will hear otber rooms flushing their toilets at night. With that said my wife and I will stay tbere again, just bring some ears plugs with you. cheers.

What a great find. Hotel decor a little outdated but really it added to its charm. In a great position opposite the beach. Aircon was definitely ok. We had a balcony which was perfect. Breakfast was great. Close to restaurants and to beach. Really happy with all.

This hotel is advertised as being a 4 star hotel. However, I would barely give it a 1 star. The hotel is very dated and looks old and tired. It’s clean and conveniently located on the beach but that’s all it has going for it. I stayed here due to a last Minute Chang rob our palms for one night. I was in a single room and was given one key. I noticed the room was humid and stuffy and very hot. When I asked the front desk for an extra key to leave in the key holder to keep electricity on while I went for dinner and have the room cool down I was given a hard no by the front desk staff. YOU GET ONE KEY! He shouted. I additionally asked to borrow an electrical adapter and again I was told no not sure what you are talking about! Keep in mind this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I went to my room to check the AC one more time before I went for dinner and ran into a young man working at the hotel. I voiced my concern about the AC and charger and he told me the AC in this room is known to have problems and should Have never been rented out in the heat of the summer. Hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move … He did bring me a very noisy fan to place in the room. At night when I tried to sleep on the bed I felt every metal spring in my back and body. Needless to say this was one of the most miserable stays in my travel history as I did not sleep a wink all night. The heat. The nosy fan and the rude front desk staff. Never stay here if you have other options!

This property may have been a four star in the 80s and early 90s however, it definitely does not deserve a four-star. It’s at best of three star. But it has going for it as it’s location on the beach and it’s proximity to the old town which is walkable within five minutes however, the rooms are small and tired and old. The air conditioning barely worked so we could not sleep all night. The lobby area again has not been updated since the 80s nor the rooms. The breakfast buffet had very few items, the rest being wrapped goods. The people at the front desk were nice and service was OK. However, the property needs some love.

A nice clean hotel with an excellent location. Parking is easy and free. The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good and it was nice to sit outside over the road from the beach in the morning. The decor is slightly outdated but this doesn’t take away from its charm. However, the plumbing is noisy and this can disturb you at times.

This is a large, modern hotel with a spacious reception area and restaurant. It's right across from the beach, and if you get a note from the hotel the beach will give you 20% off on the cost of renting a beach chair (16 euros instead of 20 for two people). The reception area had many signs about COVID restrictions, but nobody seemed to be enforcing them. I was a little put off by the signs in the room telling you all the things that are not allowed (No outside food in the rooms! No doing your laundry in the sink! No washing out your bathing suit in the bathroom!), but the room was pleasant and clean, with air conditioning. We had a sea view. The breakfast buffet was good, but it was annoying that we weren't allowed to sit at the best tables in the outdoor restaurant because those were reserved for lunch. They weren't marked "reserved," so we were embarrassed when the staff made us move after we had already sat down (this happened to other guests as well). The hotel is in the modern part of town, but just a few blocks from the much more scenic old town.

The hotel is located is a good spot but unfortunatley the air conditoning doesn't work well. Our room was 28c whist the main foyer area was 20c. We could not control the Air Cond as only the reception had full control. We could also hear the other couple in the next room talking. We did tell the reception but all they did was ignore us as they already have our money. I for one will not stay at this Hotel again

We had a wonderful time in Chefalu, lovely sandy beaches and water. Hotel Riva Del Sol, perfectly located close to the beach, clean, friendly staff and a nice Italian breakfast. We were fortunate to get a room with full ocean view which was stunning. I would recommend Riva del Sol to anybody.

Great hotel. Perfect location at the beach and 2 minute walk to all restaurants and centre of Cefalu. Fantastic service from staff, very clean, rooms serviced daily, great buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. Incredible valur for money and free parking. Would definitely return.
