I came to Cape May to attend my friend's son's graduation from United States Coast Guard boot camp. After a long trip from the west coast, it was absolutely wonderful to be able to rest from my trip at the Grand Hotel. Approaching the hotel there was plenty of parking. Check in was a breeze (so was the weather...40mph gusting up to 60). The staff member checking me in was polite, professional, had a pleasant and friendly personality. She took time to give me handouts about the area including food establishments in the area that deliver food to your room. She was very helpful and for my whole stay all the staff answered my questions and all had wonderful personalities. Entering my room I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was immaculately clean. The bedding and towels looked and smelled clean. No bed bugs present. I was also suprised to find a small refrigerator/freezer, a closet equiped with an ironing board and iron, and when I opened up the cabinet under the bathroom, I found a hair dryer! Nice lighting above the sink in the bathroom. Two people can get ready for an event...one can shower in the bathroom with the door closed then use the sink and mirror to get ready while another person can get ready at the second sink with large mirror immediately adjacent to the bathroom. It really expedites getting ready if two people are on a tight schedule. The room had a round table, a table in front of the couch (fold out bed), cable TV, a nice chest of drawers, and the bedsid
