La Bastide du Soleil

We booked this as a family and stopped sep 23 , we chose this due to the lovely pictures of exposed stone and beams and it was better than we hoped on arrival. We had a warm arrival and very easy departure, Claire was very helpful and explained everything. The pool was lovely , rooms clean and beautifully presented. Beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen bathrooms well equipped. Added private parking and gated entrance made it private and secure. Only 15min walk into centre of Cannes and a lot less to beach. Loads within short car ride (supermarkets, restaurants & shops) . A lovely place which we will be visiting again.

We stayed here after booking at quite short notice and we unexpectedly ended up staying an extra day. The apartment we had in the country house was perfect for a couple. Quiet location, but on the edge of a significant apartment complex, so we were authorized to use their facilities, like the sun beds and swimming pool ( which has a beautiful view over the Mediterranean and the bay of Cannes). The apartments all retain the original old country house stonework, so are more visually attractive than the box type apartments that are typical in more modern buildings. The furnishings were spartan, as is the norm in a holiday rental, but it was equipped with everything we needed. The apartment was exactly as advertised and the lady who booked our stay called us while we were on the way there to arrange to meet us at the reception and show us the apartment. She was very nice and extremely efficient! The location is situated around a 40 minute walk to the Croisette and if you take the beach road it’s very pleasant, although please note that due to the elevated position of the apartments, when returning the last 400m involves walking up quite a steep incline. We will for sure stay here again and have no problem recommending it.
