THB Gran Playa - Adults Only

The gran playa is the perfect hotel for a very relaxed holiday for couples, friends and families with adult children. This hotel would not suit folks who are looking for the clubbing/party scene. There is a vast mix of nationalities amongst the hotel guests and I am happy to say that all the guests mixed well with one another. The rooms have decent air con, comfy beds and a fridge which is free to use for your bottles of water. The food and drink is brilliant and I would recommend the all inclusive package (it includes cocktails!) The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach is less than a 5 minute walk. Most local bars and shops are closed by 11pm so there is not much outside noise pollution. All the staff are fantastic, they offer perfect customer service and you feel very welcomed to the hotel. The hotel is modern and very clean. There are different singing acts three times a week that are booked by the hotel. My only minor issue is that the labelling of the food in the buffet restaurant could be better, the english descriptions are either vague, inaccurate or are not available. The kitchen staff struggled to explain the food when asked, however using google translate for the Spanish on the labels did help. I would happily book this hotel again next year!

Excellent holiday in an outstanding location. We loved this hotel, total relaxation chilled and ticked all the boxes me and my wife returned totally relaxed. Lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds to either sunbathe in or stay in the shade. Rooms on the small side but in honesty you only want to sleep and with comfy beds and great air con it's not a problem. The food was amazing and if you are hungry it's your own fault as every type of diet is catered for ! From really yummy stews freshly cooked steaks chicken, salad cheese ham tons of salad the list goes on and on. If I have one small fault being a non smoker why have signs up in the non smoking area of the outside bar and allow people to smoke it's really irritating. Massive shout out to the guys serving in the pool bars nothing is too much trouble they were brilliant. Overall excellent 👍 and will return

It is conveniently located in the north of Mallorca at Can picafort. The staff at reception and the pool bar were pleasant. I went in for the all inclusive package and I think it was definitely a mistake. Lunch on a daily basis was a let down with a limited menu, so I decided to skip it on the last two daya at the hotel. The selection of cut fruits and cakes at dessert with exactly the same for every lunch and dinner meal. That was exhausting. The drinks package was good and had nice variety. While I was there there was no evening entertainment at all. For the first 3 daya the room that I was allotted had very patch Wifi and the staircase close to it was closed, I requested to move and they did move me to a btter room for the next few day where I had better coverage of wifi. Would I go back, given everything, probably not!

We had stayed at another thb hotel san fermin in benalmadana on the costa del sol in July and I couldn't fault that hotel, that's why I looked for another thb hotel in majorca for October 2023 and I wasn't disappointed, the hotel gran playa which was a adults only hotel it was really clean and had very friendly staff, the rooms were clean and kept clean all week by the friendly cleaner's. The bar staff were always willing to join in with the fun on the entertainment nights and mixed well with the resident's, it's only a 2 minute walk to the beach and close to all the shops and other restaurants, I was half board and couldn't fault the food or restaurant although the hotel was smaller than the one in benalmadana which had a bigger selection of food too choose from the choice of food that was available was varied and good. If you want a nice relaxing hotel and holiday yhen this is the hotel for you. Ian sneddon

Room was small but perfectly formed, great choice of food and drink. Super friendly staff. The ents were a bit meh 🫤 but got us up dancing!! We stayed for 4 nights all inclusive. Beach was close by and a good market on Fridays.

The hotel is announced as a 4 star hotel that is in reality no more than 3 star hotel being well re-designed. The personal is really friendly and is doing a good job. However, they are not educated for working in a 4 star hotel. There is a swimming pool guard at the pool. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and the beach is just 5 min walking distance. There is all commodities around.

I stayed here for a week whilst visiting friends who live in Alcudia. I had never stayed in this resort before so opted for it as a change. The hotel itself is in a really good location very close to the beach about 3-4 mins walk. I didn't receive very good service from reception when I arrived. There was a lack of information provided by Marta, such as no mention of the safety deposit box or what happens about the beach towels. She also gave me the wrong directions to the restaurant, but I worked it out. I was also given a faulty wristband and couldn't get in my room after 8 hours of travelling. I had to go all the way back down to reception to be told with a shrug of the shoulders sometimes they don't work and I was offered a plastic room card. The room was comfortable and clean if not a little small. They don't appear to be standard room sizes as the hotel suggests. Most of the guests are German. The only German I know is "Ich Spreches kein Deutsch" and few of them spoke any English, so we tended not to have much to do with each other. The food is OK. I've had better, I've had worse. There was some cloudy and rainy weather around and the buses git packed causing dome aggressive behaviour in the queues. Security were called at Palma bus station because people were pushing and shoving. If you want to be sure of getting on local buses, get one as early as you can. The 302 goes to Palma. The Can Picafort express is a good thing to do if its a bit cool. For €4.50 it takes you all around the resort in 45 mins. You can get on and off at stop 4 which is a short walk to the right when walking out of the hotel. The promenade by the beach is great for walking, running, cycling.

the location of the hotel is good, the beach is very close. The room is clean, cleaned every day. The food is delicious, the cocktails are excellent. the attitude is helpful. There is an Aldi nearby. There were entertainment programs in the evenings
