Boutique Van HAM

Stayed for 2 nights for a work trip, the room was comfortable, not really anywhere for storage but it did have good toiletries and was very clean. I wouldn't classify this as a boutique hotel, more of a bed and breakfast above a restaurant. The breakfast was nice but I would say €15 per person is not in keeping with the quality or quantity of the food. They had a great selection of international tv channels and fast wifi. A couple of downsides: The staff left at 6pm every day (they did notify me of this when I arrived) so there is no reception or staff available after 6pm. As a solo female (who has travelled for many years) this did make me feel slightly nervous, plus there is no security cameras in the building. Considering there was no staff in the building, when the lock for my room was temporarily broken (and I was locked out of my room) I was slightly concerned. Furthermore, when I came back to my room to a strong smell of sewage from the drains I couldn't notify anyone until the next day. Finally my bathroom did not have any curtains or blinds for privacy but only contact film on the windows which made showering at night with the lights on not very private. The staff were very nice and did listen when I explained some of the above points when I checked out!

I am very pleased with my one night stay here. It was very close to the location i needed to go for the show (Mezz) and despite me arriving late, the receptionist (Sharon) waited to give me instructions for check in, I appreciated that. Contact was prompt and easy to reach. Room was comfortable, clean and brightly lit. Having said that you do get the occasional singing and shouting in the wee hours of the morning as the location is in the heart of the city centre. Didn't bother me as the bed was super comfortable. Plenty of great eateries around. Again thank you for the pleasant stay and memory.

Heerlijke kamer, fijn bed, genoeg voorzieningen. Heerlijk ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel. Misschien het ontbijt vanaf een iets vroeger tijdstip serveren doordeweeks? Goede locatie, geluiddichte kamer ondanks dat je boven café slaapt.

Prima en vriendelijke ontvangst. Goed ontbijt. Goede ligging in het centrum. Gehorige kamer, houten vloeren waardoor geluid van andere kamers.. Erg kleine kamer. Heel erg klein zitje. Geen kledingkastje. Nauwelijks ruimte voor bagage.

Beetje lastig te vinden want de naam staat niet echt duidelijk op de gevel. Week voor aankomst pas bericht dat het geboekte ontbijt niet doorging ivm Herenzitting. Alternatief werd niet gegeven. De €60 van het ontbijt zou teruggeboekt worden...maar dat kon wel even duren. Jammer dat het bijvoorbeeld niet meteen contant gegeven kon worden...dan konden we dat besteden bij de locatie elders, waar we moesten ontbijten.(Het terugboeken kon namelijk een dag of 2 duren) Inchecken in het mini halletje na 14:30 ipv 14:00 uur van het restaurant omdat er in de lobby een Sinterklaasfeest was. De check-in vond dan ook plaatst in dat mini halletje. Op dag van vertrek konden we nog bagage achterlaten om de stad in te kunnen. De bagage zou achter slot staan. Maar toen we het kwamen ophalen bleek het nog steeds daar te staan waar we het hadden afgegeven...open en bloot. Iedereen die binnen kwam had het zo mee kunnen nemen. De bediening van het restaurant zei dat het achter slot had gestaan.....maar dat klopte niet want wij liepen zo naar binnen en konden zo de onbemande lobby in lopen en zagen dat alles nog zo stond zoals we het hadden achter gelaten. De lobby is voortdurend onbemand, en we moesten telkens naar het restaurant om iemand te halen. De kamers waren wel prima, maar we hadden de indruk dat het hotel minder belangrijk was dan het restaurant. En een grappig praatje maken verhelpt de ontevredenheid van een klant niet. Voor ons nooit meer dit hotel.

Geboekt met ontbijt, en is ook bevestigd inclusief ontbijt. Echter bij aankomst bleek dit niet mogelijk aangezien er s’ morgens geen plaats was omdat een herenclub de ontbijtzaal geboekt had. Hoop excuses maar een alternatief werd niet geboden zoals geld terug of ergens anders ontbijten tegen hun kosten. Hoe dan ook een super slechte ervaring.
