"Hotel is located right on the main road, not too far from the walking street and sunrise beach. Interesting decor inside the room, but even more unique is the bathroom structure with the upper half having no walls and essentially being barricaded by bamboo. We only stayed 1 night with the room appropriate for the family, I think. In any case, depending on the season and the price, we might stay there again."

TTamuFrom the moment we arrived via boat to the most beautiful setting, we were breath taken! The private beach is great for snorkeling and safe for kids. Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!!
Pros:
- Stunning location
- Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic!
- Great breakfast selection
- Food available all day
- Clean
- Staff helpful and friendly
- Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free
- Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing
- Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!)
- Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas
Cons:
- One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists
- No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in)
- No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away)
- Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs)
We would most certainly stay here again!

OOctopus RexCastaway is by far the best resort on Koh Lipe. It's quiet and tucked away from the busy walking street. It is perfect for anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to unwind and read a book and just check-out from busy life. A shout out to the Joy and Saul at the dive shop. Most resorts advertise having a dive shop but in reality what they have is an arrangement with a local dive center who pick you up and drop you off. Castaway's dive shop is in the resort and very friendly and professional. If you are a diver go talk to Joy, she's an amazing teacher.

TTamuThis is the third time I have travelled to Koh Lipe and we have explored multiple hotel before this. For the price you don’t expect good beach view. However, for this price and right beside walking street this is totally worth every penny, comes with breakfast and hotel also have free shuttle service from the pier! Totally not expecting that from a normal boutique hotel.
Room and bed is really clean, and best is you stay right on top of supermarket itself very convenient! Overall good experience with the hotel staff and our stay!

TTamuLocated at the end of Pattaya Beach, beautiful scenic view of Koh Lipe. The room is superb, clean and spacious with the most comfortable bed and big soft pillows. Balcony has a great view of the sea, with a hammock to relax. Food service is excellent, lots of choice in their breakfast menu plus its a halal and muslim owned hotel. Excellent and very friendly staffs, everyone is so warm and welcoming. Will definitely return here again on our next visit to Koh Lipe!
