Coombe House

When you stay at Coombe House you get much more than an amazing room and breakfast - you get to feel that “coming home”feeling, safe and welcomed. We knew our stay was going to be special from the moment David met us in the driveway. We were ushered into a beautiful front room and served tea and coffee while we were checked in. David made us feel right at home as the quality banter kicked in almost immediately 😂. He gave us great advice about what to go and see and even provided walking and driving maps. The room was lovely and the gardens so inviting with seating dotted around. Breakfast was of a very high standard with all the ingredients sourced fresh every day and cooked to order. David was an amazing and genuine host - when we asked (at short notice) to come back through at the end of our trip he managed to accomodate us even though he was heavily booked. We made a friend in Bourton-on-the-Water and will be back when next in the UK. Highly recommend!

Beautiful B & B in the best possible location. David was the most wonderful, friendly & helpful host. Lovely room, very comfortable bed. Also great there was a small fridge which we haven’t seen much in the UK. Pillows were lovely & soft too & breakfast is great with dietary requirements well catered. Beautiful garden to enjoy. The balcony is a great place to sit in the evening.

We arrived at Coombe House and were greeted with a very warm welcome from David. Our stay was excellent. Location was great, comfortable bed and the best breakfast we had in the UK. David is an excellent host, with a great sense of humour. We will certainly come and stay again.

Had a fabulous 2 night stay. Every thing about this stay was wonderful, David was a fantastic host who was very knowledgeable about the area. Room was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about staying in the Cotswolds.

David was a great host , nothing was too much trouble and his personality was relaxed and friendly. Staying at The Coombe house is a marvelous experience. David, the owner, receives you with a warm welcome and attends to your every need while you are there. The house is everything one could ask for when escaping to the country. The garden is masterfully laid and meticulously kept and there are several benches from which a couple may enjoy the natural beauty. The rooms are simple, comfortable and elegant. One feels at home in pristine sheets and light carpets. Breakfast is met with personalized attention in the dining area as David serves your chosen meal hot from the kitchen. The home is five minutes walk from Bourton-on-the-Water. Parking is easy and secure behind the house. This is definitely the place to stay in the area. Worth every pound! David is so warm, welcoming and accommodating… he quickly feels like a friend you’ve known for years. Coombe House is a great place to stay. David is a fantastic host - really keen to ensure we were all comfortable and happy. Breakfast was hot, tasty and just to our liking. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Coombe House is a great location to walk to some lovely restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

As this was our first time in the beautiful Cotswolds, we cannot praise this lovely guest house enough. As soon as we pulled up in the car parking area we were greeted by David our host who was so welcoming by offering to help carry our luggage and settling us in. The breakfast was wonderful and the view of the gardens made it extra special. Our room was perfect, so cosy and very peaceful. Only a very short walk into the local village. We highly recommend this gorgeous accommodation and a huge thankyou to the wonderful host David. A real tribute to you David. You have given us some very special memories to take home to Australia. Coombe House is in a great location just a short flat walk from all the attractions and the village itself. The property and grounds are immaculate with great facilities. David the Host is excellent and really takes pride in Coombe House and the service he provides. He is very welcoming, a great conversationalist and personality which really makes your break special. The extra little finishing touches such as fresh milk, bottled water, biscuits and bathroom products in your room really make a refreshing change and a difference. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful with a good variety to select from and the quality was 1st class. The stay is also great value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending David and Coombe House to anyone.
