"We wanted to eat at the Friesdorfer Hof, but were treated very rudely from the start. The younger owner, in particular, was loud, gruff, and generally very unpleasant – he made several snide remarks that made the experience extremely uncomfortable. The glasses and cutlery were dirty, which we took as a bad sign. Our order wasn't taken until about 30 minutes later, and after another 30 minutes, there was still no sign of our food. When we politely pointed out that we would now like to know when our food would arrive, the owner simply replied, "Then pay and leave." And that's exactly what we did. We have rarely felt so unwelcome in a restaurant – what a shame."

"Let me start by saying that I spent a total of 11 nights in Acora Bonn living the city and I had a really great time there. The hotel is is like a small-room renting place where you get a nice room, with a small kitchenette and private bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped (with a stove, fridge, all cutlery, plates and glassware available). The included breakfast is nice and it allows you to save some time in the morning. Staff is also very nice and helpful with all your requests. The location is a bit outside Bonn but with the tram 16 from the main station you can reach it in ~15 minutes. All in all, I would recommend this place for a medium/long-term stay and for work-related trips."

"The hotel is well located, but there are some problems with customer service. The staff on one shift don't seem to communicate well with the staff on the other. I had a problem with the shower head, it was simply stuck and came off when I went to take a shower late at night. I informed the receptionist on duty and the next day I had to leave early and came back late, but the situation remained the same. When I asked the same receptionist on duty, he simply told me that he had been notified, but that he didn't know why the repairs hadn't been made. The hotel is well computerized and works with electronic keys and tags to activate the doors, but the process of enabling the tags (or numbers) is sometimes slow."
