Faranda Collection Bogota, a Member of Radisson Individuals

The Faranda Hotel is a good option to stay in the North part of Bogotá. However, the access to the hotel is a bit tricky because of the road work at the moment of writing this review (07/2023). The room was basic/average. The hotel advertised to have a sauna but it did not. The gym was underwhelming. The restaurant looks really nice but the way the breakfast buffet is set is not the best. It look cramped in a small part of the restaurant. The choices for breakfast are very few.

Small hotel, but very spacious rooms. Great for families and very affordable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Very clean and the food in the restaurant is great. Excellent variety and choices for vegan and gluten. The breakfast is included is a huge plus.

Rooms are large and well appointed. The staff is courteous overall. The experience could have been better: 1. At arrival, the staff wanted us to wait to check in while they took care of the Íbera crew who had arrived after us. Customers should be served in the order they arrive. Very rude and unprofessional. 2. Breakfast was mediocre. They do not serve soy or almond milk, despite being readily available in Bogotá. We had to go buy a bottle and carry it to breakfast, which was inconvenient. The hotel should provide a milk alternative. There was also too few staff for breakfast and often we had to wait for coffee refill and fruit to be available since there was only one waitress to cover breakfast. She was nice but at least another person should be available. 3. We reserved a premium room with two beds and were given in haste, to get rid of us so they could take care of the Iberia crew, a room with one bed. When we came back to get this fixed, the receptionist gave us a horrible connecting room with no blackout curtains and super noisy, room 311. At this point, it was late and we were exhausted so we waited for next morning to get another room. They eventually, through much insistence our part, assigned us the room we had originally paid for. No excuse, no upgrade, nothing, just a blank stare from the manager, she could not care about the issue we brought up. 4. Location: This is a residential area, which makes it hard to get in and out by car due to the street configuration. The hotel is across a canal that stinks so walking along or opening a window, not an option. The furnishings and decorations are very nice and elegant and the views from the terrace are nice. The clientele is quiet and well behaved. The cleaning staff is fantastic, the room was impeccably cleaned every day.

I would have given a better review but was given a room w/o a light in the bed stand … asked for one repeatedly and none was given

We loved our stay at The Faranda. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfasts are wonderful!

Very nice and hotel. Relaxing view of the mountains. Friendly staff and super polite. The room we got had a malfunction with the hot water system. They upgraded us immediately to a suite for the inconvenience. Breakfast was good. The only thing is that the sliding door of the porch doesn't close good and I didn't like that

This is a great option in the north side of Bogota. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the hotel is situated in a quiet area. I would recommend it and will probably stay here again upon our next visit to Bogota. I will add that the rooms are clean and that the beds are very comfortable. At a glance the room we choose was a bit small for us, gladly Alex in charge of reservations re assign us the next day to a bigger suite with better amenities. The service was great from all the staff and were very helpful in all our needs. This is a great location since it is close to one if the best shopping malls in Bogota, Unicentro is within 12 min walk or you can choose to rent a bike and take a bike to the mall where there is plenty of food offerings. The location is great since it is away from high traffic streets, it is quiet inside a great neighborhood. I’ll come back again.

Hotel stuff was very accommodating from all departments, at front desk ( carlos, alejandra, katerine & katiuska ) always happy to assist & gave great information about the neat by shops and restaurants At housekeeping ( tatiana & margo ) were always present to provide any extras to make the experience more enjoyable, At the spa ( giseth ) gave a very great massage to relax after in the jacuzzi with a phenomenal view of the Andes on top of the building. At the restaurant ( janeth ) great server and permanent checking if anything else was needed Final, the general manager ( lina padilla gomez ) went out of her way to add one more night on my stay to make more memorable Well recommended & excellent location
