In general a very good hotel in the Scandic family Good rooms, nice views, good service, and so on The only negativ experience was carpet on the room floors

A decent modern hotel in a stunning location overlooking the harbour. Did I mention we saw a Sea Eagle quartering the harbour from our room... We book-ended a trip to the Lofotens with two nights at the Havet. Comfortable modern hotel, with friendly staff and very contrally located. The only frustration was the very poor supply of power sockets in the room and none around the desk. A bit awkward and dangerous plugging in the kettle in a socket at skirting-board level!

It is very nicely located right by the ocean and the ferry area. It is not bad, but its also just a typical city hotel. Staff seemed akward when being asked questions and were most comfortable behind thei computer. But room was nice and the price is decent making it a ok hotel.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed for 2 nights in the hotel. The room very have modern design and all furniture work well. The toilet is quite spacious. We love the view from our rooms as the hotel is located next to the sea. There are many shops & restaurants within walking distance fhe hotel. The restaurant serving breakfast has many seating areas and the food served has many varieties. They tasted great too. The hotel staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a shuffle board for guests to play. All in all, we have an enjoyable stay at the hotel. Only drawback - our rooms were not cleaned properly - there were bread crumbs on the floor.

Had to change room 3 times because of bad standards and got downgraded.. we were gonna complain about the last room but we had other weekend plans than to use the whole day to change roms.. the first room had puke on the curtains and the Windows was leeking so we couldnt sleep bucause of the noice from the wind. The second room was smaller, and the bathroom light was constantly blinking. The last room was also smaller than the room we originally ordered and was missing a nightlamp.. the only thing we got was 300nok in compensation

Fantastic hotel, very extensive tasty breakfast.Very friendly, helpful staff. It's a pity that there is carpet in the room. This should change. Really not hygienic and the warm room gives you a headache and your nose is blocked.

Love the view. Fine breakfast buffet with too many choices to name...something for everyone! Only drawback was the inability/unwillingness of the bartender to make a simple martini -- perhaps I misunderstood, but she seemed to say it was against Norwegian liquor law. Mystifying. Otherwise a wonderful hotel.

This modern hotel has the best location in town with a beautiful view and a nice breakfast. But there is a major problem. The management enthusiastic like a spoiled teenager asked to clean his room. The care for the hotel and the customers with the empathy like Cinderella’s step mother. I stay here quite often as I work part time at the local hospital (and they have arrangements with this hotel). It’s always the same annoying things. There is no soap in the shower. It’s dirty and filthy everywhere. Only decaf coffee in the room (this was on my last stay, I asked for proper coffee and they said they had to use all the decaf stuff before ordering more). Water doesn’t go down in the shower but rather makes a mess everywhere. Check in and check out takes forever because of understaffing or lack of training. The light bulb at the desk doesn’t work. And so on. On two occasions, they have given me keys card to rooms occupied by others. There are plenty of good hotels in town. Try Ramsalt, it has a good view as well from the 9th floor up). Or Raddison.

We arrived at the hotel late and had a credit card guaranteed reservation on an expensive room. When we checked in with the desk clerk, he told us that our room went to sombody else. We showed him our reservation with the wording: "GARANTEED FOR LATE ARRIVAL" but he only said sorry. Then he sent us out the door with all our luggage to the other cheaper Scandic hotel late at night, and we had to wait on-line (40 minutes) and argue to get the price down as we booked a top room in Scandic Havet and this hotel offered us a low rate room close to the kitchen. (Half price of what we prepaid) We did not get the price down. We have NEVER experienced such low degree of service any place in all our time traveling in Norway. Never Scandic again!
