Flying from Trondheim to Bodo above thick cloud I was treated to a spectacular display of the northern lights and this set the tone for my time in the arctic circle, where I was lucky enough to see the aurora on all 4 nights. Including from the hotel room. The hotel is great with a sensationally good breakfast. I had a Superior Double with sea view first night, then on return from the Lofoten Islands they gave me a free upgrade to a corner room and I photographed the northern lights out the window.

The hotel location is perfect. A 15-minute walk from the airport and 5 minutes from the city centre. There is a small harbour in front of the entrance. The service staff are very friendly and dedicated. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. The box spring beds are very comfortable and high quality. The breakfast at the hotel is absolutely great! If you don't get your fill here, it's your own fault. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly come back.

Must commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. You meet happy faces at the reception that makes you feel warmly welcome. The chef de la cuisine definetly did a very good job, the food was delicious.They asked all the time if we wanted more coffee and that kind of service makes this place special.absolutely looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely hotel. The only readon I gave 4 stars for the condition, was that there was some construction noise as the 3rd floor was being renovated - certainly a worthy cause. Beds were comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was great!

Spent 1 night at this hotel. Short walk(10 min ) from the airport. Lovely location next to the see. Clean and fresh room. Unfortunately not with a sea view. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was absolutely great. A lot of choices both healthy and not so healthy. Fun with not so usual things( Spanish meatballs, Japanese omelette…) I would absolutely stay hear again!

Business class is a tiny, eeny, weeny room with a great view! There is a luggage rack to lay the suitcase on, but there is literally no room to open it up except between the bed and the wall. Small, adequate desk. No areas for sitting down in the rest of the hotel to work except in the lobby which is busy. The dining room has some nice areas. Food is abundant but not so tasty. Terrible coffee. They use capsules instead of real coffee. Which in Norway is outrageous because Norway has the best coffee.

Standard Norwegian hotel hospitality, rooms are a bit small but nothing negative on this, really. The rest is all fine, with an extra bravo in the breakfast buffet! Staff is very polite and helpful when needed.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is nice but hallways/carpets could definitely use updating. Room was comfortable but small. Great location for walking and restaurants and the staff were very accommodating. Would stay here again!

We stayed at Nordlys on our way home to Sweden from Narvik. Friendly receptionist helpt us with room booking and advice about parking. The breakfast was fantastic, we need to come back to be able to test all (too much to eat for one morning). Took a evening walk along the pier, witch is just across the street from the hotel.
