Do yourself a favour and stay at this stunning accommodation and definitely book one of the cottages. Can’t overstate how much we loved our stay at The Montage in this beautiful location. Our only regret is that we only had 2 nights here. The property is everything you could hope for and the amenities and dining options were amazing.

Montage Palmetto Bluff was highly recommended to us by multiple people and we are SO GLAD. My husband and I came here on our babymoon and it was the perfect spot for us. We were active, we relaxed, we ate great good and he had great cocktails. The entire staff from the moment we arrived was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcomed. We cannot wait to come back with our daughter when she is born, our parents, as well as our friends!

This was our first stay at the Montage Palmetto Bluff, and it surpassed all our expectations! Our room was immaculate, meals at Cole’s, Octagon and the River House were delicious, and the peaceful setting among the palmettos with the cool breeze blowing off the May River caused the stress of everyday life to melt away the moment we arrived. Afternoon cookies and evening s’mores added sweetness to each day. Integral to our fabulous experience was the amazing staff who fulfilled every need proactively, with professionalism and grace. Some of our favorite staff (with apologies to those I may have forgotten) were Bernita in housekeeping, Alice and Burt who took us around the property, Alex and Jake at the family pool, Kyle and August at the Octagon, Imran at Cole’s, Anchonette, Walter and Chad at the River House, and the kind young aesthetician who made me feel pampered at the spa. We had a great stay because of each of you. I would like to express our gratitude to the lovely and gracious team of Carmela and Phantashia at the concierge desk who thoughtfully planned our experiences and answered my many questions joyfully. Thank you for your kindness in welcoming us and making our stay so special! We enjoyed a few outdoor adventures outfitted by Outside Palmetto Bluff: an amazing dolphin watching tour (we saw six!) with Captain Boo, who shared his knowledge of the May River ecosystem as well as local history. Captain Max made our family fishing trip fun and helped the kids reel in (catch and release) blacktip sharks among other fish, and Dylan pointed out wonders from pluff mud to water birds as he led us on a kayak tour through the beauty of the low country. The family had a yummy breakfast at Cahill’s, where the kids enjoyed seeing the chickens and a peacock! Bluffton offered an afternoon of looking around at shops and galleries, with booths of tasty homemade treats on offer as well. The superb dinner of local produce, creatively presented at the Farm restaurant made us want to return often. All in all, our stay at the Montage Palmetto Bluff was dreamy, and we look forward to our next visit!

This place is just absurdly overpriced. $15 for an orange juice. Also, the adults only pool is directly across from the family pool. The pool bar closes at 5pm which feels early. The restaurants are understaffed and overworked and it shows.

Property is just so special … Southern charm and amazing hospitality !! Staff is over the top and makes guests feel so special !! So much to do! Bike , tennis , pickle ball, …. Refreshing environment !!!

We have stayed at the Montage PB many times over the past ~10 years and love the property. Staff is always extraordinary, rooms are very clean, property is beautiful, and the 'low country', laid back lifestyle is a refreshing respite from the busy dad to day life. It is expensive, but recommend a cottage upgrade and take time to explore the grounds, take a Duffy boat cruise and relax.

The attention to detail was very professional. The property was a 10 out of 10. I’m a golfer, I did not have the opportunity to golf on this visit. But I will make a return for that round I missed. I heard the course was beautiful and in great shape. Kudos to the staff.

Spectacular accommodations with over-the-top service make this visit a must experience. Every expectation I had for this resort was met. I truly enjoyed my tome here and will definitely be back here in the future with my wife so she can experience the luxurious facility that this place is.

Montage facilities never disappoint. Palmetto Bluff is such a beautiful facility I only wish I had a few more days to add to this wonderful experience. Riding bikes around the grounds and along the waterways was so fun. Dining and wait staff were all attentive and pleasant. Highly recommended

What a wonderful experience we had at this charming , expansive, and natural beauty of an estate. Don’t believe the disparagers - they’re incorrect. Just visit this place.

My children(25 & 27) and I had an amazing time at the Montage we were there for a wedding but were able to enjoy the resort too. Bikes, Horseback riding, swimming and dining were all fabulous.

Stayed here for 1 x night and played golf at May River. Hotel, restaurant and golf was superb, will definitely revisit if back in the area.
