"Good day I would love to start of by saying we as the Ressouw family who stayed at the Lodge on the 6th of December 2024 to the 8th of December 2024 are truly great full for the service, we received at the city lodge Bloemfontein. The staff was exceptional with big smiles and welcoming personalities the service and rooms were in tip top, the pool area was perfect as well as the weather. We could not have asked for better accommodation. The food and accommodation was perfect. My daughter enjoyed her with the variety of pizza on the menu but for her the pool and pool area she enjoyed the most. I would like to end off by saying thank you to the manage and exceptional staff who made us feel so welcome. I can't remember her name but she was on duty the 8th of December 2024 dayshift please could you thank her and all your staff for us. It's very thoughtful of her that went the extra mile making out last day very welcoming and unforgettable. We can't wait to plan our next trip"

"I have been going to Bains Lodge approximately 4 times a year for conferences for the past 5 years. The package that we have is for the conference facility/boardroom for two days, refreshments for the 2 days, lunch for the 2 days, as well as, accommodation (bed & breakfast) for myself for 3 nights. The staff at Bains Lodge have always been willing to go above and beyond. From checking in and being welcomed by friendly people in reception, to staying in good and clean rooms, to friendly staff serving you a delicious breakfast in the morning, not to mention the fantastic lunch in the afternoon, I have always been treated as a VIP. Thank you Henrico, Erica, Anja, and all the staff at Bains Lodge for treating me more as a friend that as a mere client."

"Never book with Agoda travel Agents NEVER. We booked at this guesthouse while traveling thru Agoda, the guesthouse replied immediatly that they are fully booked, Agoda ignored the email, and still debit the amount from bank card, we arrived just to find out they fully booked, we were stranded and had to drive in the middle of the night to our next destination. Since the 28 of March 2026 we try to get a refund from Agoda with no luck. I went on facebook and there are litteraly 100 and 100 of people that lost money to Agoda due to this bad service. So please dont make the same mistake and loose money to Agoda scammers. Booking never took place because fulle booked, but i paid for it. Invoice attached"

The pool and garden area is beautiful and peaceful, but you wait a long time to get a waiter to assist with drinks and snacks. The hotel has direct access to the Mimosa Mall, which is a great benefit and super convenient."

"In short, the room we booked using a platform ended up looking nothing like it had been shown on the website. The two bedroom family suite, was a converted garage with a double bed, a bunk bed, a divider between the room housing these & the bathroom. And a TV above the kitchen sink which meant you could not even wash your coffee cup in the morning. The explanation from the manager was that the platform must have made a mistake, as that which was advertised was the family suite luxury & that which we booked was the family suite. "
