Staybridge Suites Bismarck

Very nice hotel breakfast is excellent and in a very convenient location.

Sad the pool wasn't open but love staybridge! Very comfortable! Excited to see the updates!

1st room checked into #223 someone was already in room, 2nd room #228 was ok but found things left behind (pregnancy test)

The hotel is extremely nice with fantastic staff. We would go back in a heartbeat. My only complaint was our room had the thermostat hanging by the wires over the closet handle. Have two very young kids with me made it a challenge to keep them away from the exposed wires.

The breakfast was amazing! Beds and bedding were so comfortable!! Would stay here again.

The door lock seemed broken and big stain on rug by bed is red but looked like makeup. Service and breakfast nice and pool warm and clean. Nice and quiet. Will stay again but fix door lock to protect guest and shampoo rug.

We were out in Wyoming and Montana for 2 weeks celebrating our wedding anniversary and our friend’s birthday. On our way back, we stopped in North Dakota for a night to break up our travel. There aren’t a lot of options in the surrounding areas and we want to make sure we get a property that is clean and ideally newer. We came across Staybridge Suites. They have higher ratings and pictures look great for an overnight stay. We booked without hesitation about 4 months before our actual date. Fast forward to Saturday 8/12, we arrived late night from our travel. My wife is 5 months pregnant, so it was important the place is clean and smoke free. Unfortunately, upon entering our room exhausted, a strong smoking smell came from the room. It was so strong that you could almost taste it. Beyond disappointed, we connected with front desk. The gentleman was nice, but he informed us there was no longer any king suites left, which we booked. There was another “out of order” king suite available but there is sewer gas coming out of their bathroom. It left us without any other options to downgrade to a queen size room, which is a lot smaller. We were so exhausted and just wanted a good night sleep, so we checked in and figured we would figure out the refund of difference the next day. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn’t do any adjus**ent since we prepaid through *******. It’s disappointing that we booked 4 months ago and came to a room filled with smoking smell and downgrade to a room type.

The grounds and exterior of this property are very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio near the water feature. The dining area and pool were clean too. However, the room itself was NOT. The bathroom floor felt sticky(!?), there was a previous guest's sock under the couch and a pair of underwear on the floor behind the curtains. Also, the previously-used bedding on the pull-out couch was still on the mattress and we had to request fresh bedding. The room overall was tired and dreary and the age of the hotel was apparent in the room. Front desk clerk appeared quite disinterested in checking us in, but the clerk who was there during our stay and when we checked out was much friendlier. Breakfast was adequate: coffee was hot, yogurt station was pretty good, kids and husband enjoyed the cook-your-own waffles, the made-ahead omelettes on our first morning were disappointing/inedible; the bacon/eggs/hashbrowns the second morning were better. If the public areas were as dirty as our room and the food had been much worse (we don't expect too much at 3-star hotels with "breakfast included") my rating would be much lower.
