Hotel Fonda Siques

Set in the historic centre of Mediaeval Besalú, Hotel Fonda Siqués offers garden and free on-site parking. Featuring mountain views, all rooms are heated and come with a TV and telephone. There is a private bathroom with free toiletries and a bath tub or shower. Some rooms have air conditioning. The hotel has a bar and the restaurant was formerly the stable. 　　The hotel has 26 rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated and has its own individual character and great views over the mountains. The rooms on the first floor already existed when the hotel opened as an Inn. Although smaller than those on the second floor, they still preserve the characteristic look of the beginning of the 20th century, but with the comforts a 21st century-customer needs. All rooms are en suite and are equipped with heating, telephone, and TV. Some of the rooms have air conditioning.

The current dining room used to be the stables, and still preserves the original drinking trough and manger, and next to it were the hauliers' dining room, the village café and the gentlemen's dining room, which was right next to the kitchen to provide suitable service. Much of the menu is based on 'volcanic gastronomy' using locally grown products nourished by volcanic soil.
