Reasonable price and closed to the beach

The hotel is a little far from the metro but still accessible by taxi or bus. During the spring the rooftop was a bit too chilly for us and the pool is not heated. It’s also very small and extremely shallow so it’s more of a wading pool. Nice view of the sea and okay service.

This hotel is Adults Only and right across from the beach, two of our vacation requirements. Upon arrival our room was upgraded and we had a pool/beach view which was really nice. We did have to wait until check in to get our room as it looked like there was a convention of sorts checking out when we arrived early. Our room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures and not very deep at all. Pool towels were always accessible and there was only one day we could not get chairs in the pool area. You are not allowed to drink in the pool which is quite odd, and there really isn’t many places to put your drinks when in the pool. The room comes with a mini fridge but only two very small bottles of water. I had left a note (and some money) asking for additional water (so that we could at least fill our reusable water bottles before we left the hotel) and more towels, neither of which happened when our room was serviced that day. That evening I received a survey from the hotel and I noted these two things in the survey. When we returned from dinner that evening there were two giant bottles of water left in the room for us and over the next few days there were also additional small bottles in the mini fridge. Our steamer was broken and housekeeping promptly brought up and iron/ironing board for us. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept on and the pillow menu was a great addition for us both! Our second to last day it as raining and the lobby had umbrellas right at the front door. There was always champagne and water in the lobby, however we did not eat here so we cannot speak to the food. Other reviews have touched on the sewage smell that exists in the area, it’s throughout the city of Barcelona, not a hotel specific issue. Walk out of the hotel and go right to the first little restaurant for a quick and cheap breakfast, we did this multiple mornings. Bonus during our trip, we were able to see the Regatta races from the pool and our room.

I was disgusted with the room. The curtains were hanging off the rails and filthy windows. View stated sea view or city view but I got a homeless man on a bench , which was really upsetting. The shower room was awful and if you get this room , you’d also be devastated. I did complain that night but was shrugged off and told nothing can be done , so can leave and get money back to book somewhere else. Minus paying for the one night ! I did not sleep with worry and got another hotel booked early the next morning. I then got a phone call saying money could not be refunded and told to cancel the other hotel. I told them this could not be done and outstanding money returned after a week . This meant I had to use other funds to pay for new hotel. I was offered a room change before I left and attitude changed, it was a little too late . If Melanie had said this the day before my holiday would not of been ruined .

We’ve had such good experience staying here. The beds are huge, I’ve never seen anything like it. Pillows are so big and soft, I slept so well. The staff couldn’t be any better or nicer, they were so friendly and despite the check in not being available until 3pm, they’ve let us check in at 12pm. This hotel was more on a locals side which was a benefit as it’s peaceful, safe and cheaper places to eat. There is a really nice cafe where we had breakfast every morning. 4 pastries and 2 coffees were only 7 euros. A 5 min walk to many many restaurants and a lovely beach. The metro is only a short walk distance. I would definitely recommend paying for the 3-4 day travel pass as it works for everything. If I were due to return to Barcelona, I would definitely stay here again instead of the town centre as it was so busy we couldn’t even enjoy the markets or shopping. The pool area is spacious , with plenty of sunbeds. Not to forget their delicious sangrias!

With a perfect view of the sea and an amazing breakfast this hotel more than makes up for the distance from most city attractions.
