Amertha Bali Villas Beach Front Resort and Spa

We stayed in a private villa at Amertha Bali Villas for 5 nights and our experience was great. The resort location in Pemuteran is hard to beat - right on the beach and walking distance to a bunch of good cafes and restaurants. The resort grounds were neat and beautifully maintained. The villa itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. The private pool was great and well used during our stay. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. We used a few services provided by the resort: yoga classes and spa treatments. These were charged separately and were well-organised and enjoyable overall. Recommended.

This place is incredible. The grounds are huge and beautifully maintained, the villas are very generously sized. Ours was a group of three (though only ours was in occupancy) with its own pool and water slide and fish ponds. We paid about $110 AUD a night for this, including breakfast, which was incredible value. The staff are many and very attentive. The mountain backdrop is spectacular. The restaurant and main pool are right on the beach front. We had an incredible snorkelling tour of a few hours and saw turtles and beautiful reefs. A local driver took us five minutes to see a temple with monkeys (it was way too hot to walk!) Side note: as it's 3-3.5 hours from Canggu, Seminyak, etc, there were no influencers or bogan Aussies (and I say that as an Australian), which made it even better. Probably this place better attracts explorers, divers, snorkellers.

i love being there! the lush gardens and clean beaches are perfect for fun and relaxation. Each villa has its own pool, very romantic and private. the food was spectacular. the attentive staff cared for your every whim. the spa was complete with the most gracious and expert staff. I had massages, get one the day you arrive! That sets the tone. thank you, Sandy! xoxo

We have stayed here before and we enjoyed it so much we thought we would come back but this time booked the sea view Villa 1A.It was brilliant.On arrival two girls from the spa turned up for a free back and neck massage which was REALLY good and then we used the spa so a great way to get you to use it.Room was huge and beautifully decorated.There was a Villa next door but nobody in it so we had the private pool,kitchenette and everything to ourselves.I cant recommend this place highly enough with very attentive staff who all knew you by name within 24 hours.The hotel is on the beach but unfortunately the beach is Permuteran has seen better days.Outside the hotel it is spotless and cleaned every day but further down the beach there is so much rubbish it was so sad.Its the place where shoes go to die(hundreds of them).The restaurant was good but the menu is quite small.We ate there the first night but then found other places to eat out on the street.The rooms were cleaned everyday.As I said before we used the spa for a massage and I had a facial.The massages were the best IVe ever had(not joking).Came out on such a high.Please do yourself a favour and use their service.It was divine.Breakfasts were OK but quite small but that suits me.Still had selections of fruit,juices,tea and coffee and your cooked choices. Its a great place to explore Menjungan and the National park and tours can be arranged and all trasport.LOve this place and will be back again

I LOVE This place.. The first time I visited with a group in 2018 it was so memorable that I had to come back with two groups in June. We stayed for 5 days each time and EVERYONE in our group was blown away by the beauty of the surroundings, how each room is so beautifully decorated and comfortable (with your own personal swimming pool), and the people and service is extraordinary. After being in the hustle and bustle of UBUD and lots of day trips Pemuturan and Amertha Villas is a place of peace, beauty and deep relaxation. It all starts with the manager Sandy who runs this large property with a genuine smile, warmth, high quality service and food and is able to get things done. The welcome procession when we get off of the bus is so much fun:0 The yoga shala was set up for us to practice in daily, breakfast and meals were delicious, everything was kept really clean, the staff in the restaurant are attentive and hard working. The kitchen and chef was able to make us some delicious dishes for our goodbye party! And, we even had an amazing band play at both of our goodbye parties.. This place is better than you can imagine and for a great price! The masseuse ladies in the spa are really good at what they do. My favorite is Wulan.. But, I heard that all of the ladies were good. And, so affordable.. Do not forget to tip everyone!! They work so hard and your stay will be memorable..

Staff were so helpful and pleasant. It was a peaceful and quiet location. The villas are spacious and lovely. Breakfast was nice with various options. Plenty of diving in the area and other things to do locally. We didn’t want to move on and will stay longer next time.

We had the most wonderful time at Amertha Bali Villas. The villas themselves are wonderful, with huge beds, big bedrooms, access to a kitchen and great bathrooms. The food was great, really tasty and fresh. The pool and the beach are also brilliant, with plenty of loungers. You can snorkel right off the beach or 2 minutes walk away you can visit the Biorock Reef. We organised a snorkelling trip to Menjangan with the onsite dive centre which was really good.

This was my fourth time staying at this hidden gem, and I look forward to returning again soon. The serene beauty of this 14 private villa resort is worth every minute of the drive from the Denpasar airport - ask the resort to arrange transport so you can enjoy the view north through the island. Once you arrive, the Amertha staff will be focused on your every need. The grounds are immaculate and the employees always friendly and service minded. You will receive a heartfelt "hello" and "good day" from every Amertha employee. From the woman that refreshes the flowers in your villa to the young man that hauls your luggage, from the gardener to the restaurant wait staff, you will feel truly welcomed. With a private pool at every villa, it's hard to choose between "staying in" or heading out for the common pool or beach front lounge chairs. Each of the villas includes high end bedding and a smart TV, showcasing locally inspired decor - and I love the choice between an indoor or outdoor shower. The newly updated spa has a sweet little garden area for private outdoor treatments, and the property offers regular activities from bird watching to Temple tours, so there is plenty to do. Although lounging in my private poolside cabana with a good book is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. The food at Amertha is both clean and tasty. The restaurant offers a diverse menu of international and Indonesian dishes available at ocean view tables in the restaurant or through room service direct to your villa. In either case, I highly recommend the Indonesian dishes, especially the daily specials featuring fresh Mahi Mahi or Tuna. The Nasi Goreng and Mei Goreng are easy-entry noodle and rice experiences... although they have more western fare, who wants to eat pizza in Bali? As a scuba diver, the Karang Divers Amertha dive shop is by far the biggest draw for me. I always squeeze in as many trips to the Menjangan Island marine reserve as possible. It's a rare joy to see such a healthy reef system, complete with thriving corals and abundant marine life. An excellent dive crew and small, fast boats make the most of your time, while local guides know just where to find the most illusive creatures. It's a certified diver's dream and the perfect place to take additional dive training. For beginners, the common area pool and the reef in front of the property are perfect for an easy "try dive". I can't say enough about Amertha - the heart of the Balinese staff and the quality of the amenities at the property make this the perfect spot for a world class dive experience, a destination wedding, a romantic vacation or family getaway. Four stars and two thumbs up from this traveller!

After waiting 2.5 years we finally got to take our trip to Amertha Villas. We stayed 6 nights in Villa 1 - a two bedroom oceanfront villa. Despite the resort running on limited capacity (reduced food menu, guest activities not yet running) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is nothing short of stunning! The villa was well equipped and when the wifi was slow, the staff installed a router in our villa. TV is not yet working but honestly…you don’t really need the TV with this view. The staff are friendly and will go above and beyond, drinks at the bar exceptional, spa treatments lovely and everything is very reasonably priced.
