Calma Ubud(Calma Ubud Suite & Villas)

Das Hotel ist einfach klasse. Das Personal ist typisch balinesisch freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Scooter-Ausleihe war unkompliziert - einfach angefragt, kurz darauf stand er einsatzbereit da. Ebenso einfach buchten wir einen Fahrer für einen Tag. Zur Shopping- und Gastro- Meile fährt man 10 min mit dem Scooter.Man kann allerdings auch einen ganzen Tag im Hotel verbringen, mit Massagen, Pool Restaurant. Unser Zimmer war im Bali-Stil eingerichtet. Dusche und Toilette waren draußen - was uns nicht weiter störte. Frühstück ist sehr lecker .

This is the third time we have been here, and the place is just as wonderful as we remember. One of best things about Calma is the food that seems very well prepared and is very delicious. The breakfast is OK, and you get to choose one meal per person besides yoghurt, granola, fruit, bread, coffee and juice (however, I could use much more yoghurt and granola, and the juice is a little boring). The staff is very kind, and the surroundings are so picturesque - which must be the reason why so many influencers stay there to take pictures for Instagram. The interior design is very cool, and all the details seem extremely well-thought-out. I like the size of the pool, which is so stunning, because a bigger pool would seem too overwhelming with the rest of the design. The rooms are cosy and clean, and the hotel offers a shuttle to Ubud several times a day. Very recommendable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, we were so disappointed. The air conditioning made a lot of noise and the fridge was flooded inside.. The “outdoor” shower, is really just a regular indoor shower with a small hole in the wall, to a view of your own entrance. However the hole in the wall, resulted in A LOT of mosquitoes, ants, spiders, miscellaneous bugs and even a huge cockroach coming inside of our bathroom. The door to the bathroom couldn’t close properly, so except those animals inside your bedroom. Bathroom had dirty bathroom tiles, dead ants and spiders on the walls and floor. The walkway between the different rooms were absolutely beautiful, but it also felt a bit claustrophobic at times, as everything was so closely packed. What you don’t really realise in the pictures, is that the pool and restaurant are right up against each other, and most of the decorations and accessories aren’t there in real life. There are a lot of new plants covering the view from the pool area, and construction work every day close by. Wifi didn’t work for half of our stay and it really killed our New Year Eve’s plans of ordering food in and having a cozy night with champagne in the room with music and a movie. Friendly staff and overall a fine room. However it is far from a 4 star experience, we have lived in similar rooms for a quarter of the price. Very disappointing overall, can find better places for much cheaper.

We stayed here as a family and were extremely happy with everything they have to offer. The accomodation was clean, spacious and private. The staff were excellent, very accomodating and ever so friendly. The restaurant was amazing with fabulous food and drinks across all meals with the option to enjoy a lovely cocktail around the pool or a relaxing massage in the rainforest setting. We did feel it was a little too far away from town to walk but we utilised the free Calma shuttle bus and also a local taxi for a couple of trips. This did not take away from the experience. We would be more than happy to stay there again.

Stayed here for 6 nights and it is an independently owned boutique hotel. The staff are all super helpful and very friendly. Hotel is located about a 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud and run a shuttle service if required but taxi fares are so cheap found them so convenient Rooms are well appointed and are extremely clean. If you want a quiet hotel just outside the hustle and bustle of central Ubud this is the place for you for sure

Calma Ubud was incredible. It is a beautiful property and well hosted and run. It is just outside the city center for peach and quiet but they offer shuttle service. The hostess is always available to support your stay and help with any activities. We had breakfast there as well and it was great with a nice view over the valley behind. I recommend the stay to anybody in the area. Chicago, US Couple.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Calma Ubud, and we must say that it exceeded our expectations on every level. This boutique resort nestled in the heart of Ubud offers not only a tranquil escape but also a remarkable experience in terms of hospitality and gastronomy. The accommodations at Calma Ubud are nothing short of luxurious. Our room is thoughtfully designed, blending traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern comforts. The attention to detail in the room amenities and the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes created a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect with nature.

This property has a very relaxing atmosphere. It is a beautifully build and one can surely wind down here. The made to order breakfast menu has different type of foods to choose from, either local or western and its delicious. From the day we arrived to the day we left we felt safe and welcomed at Calma Ubud. One thing that can be improved would be the free shuttle service to Ubud market. I wished there is no set pick up time and we can contact the hotel for pick up when we are done shopping. The staffs are pleasant and will do their very best to satisfy your needs.
