location was not so good. but there was free shuttle van to restaurants and market. Service was excellent. Pool was clean, breakfast is awesome. highly recommend to rent a scooter to go markets.

We had a wonderful stay at Stanagiri Luxury Retreat Ubud. Our villa and private pool exceeded our expectations, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Wishing to come back soon and we will stay there again. Highly recommend!

1. The hotel is in a bad location, 2 hours drive from the city 2. It is a self-built house in the countryside, and there is not even a front desk!! Check-in is done in the room. . I have lived in hotels for decades, and I have never seen anything like this 3. I went there to see the terraced fields, but the rice seedlings were just planted, and I could only see mud 4. The sanitary conditions are very poor, the filter turned yellow after a few hours of replacement, the bedside table was full of dust, and the washbasin was also dust 5. The mattress is very bad, and it is concave when you sleep on it 6. Such a bad hotel is really unacceptable. Ctrip negotiated a refund but they still refused. Fortunately, I bought insurance myself. I moved out decisively after staying for one night. We dared not eat the food delivered in the morning. Be careful with children, it is too easy to get sick in such a place.

Environment: Located in the rice fields of Tegalalang rural area (not the popular rice terraces), the location is relatively remote. The advantage is that it is absolutely quiet and it is easy to fall asleep in various white noises. The disadvantage is that it is far from various attractions, but the hotel provides shuttle buses to the rice field restaurant.

This hotel made me afraid to sleep all night. The villa is too big and empty. The surrounding area is still under renovation. If you are a couple, don't go there. I dare not sleep at night. It is OK with more people. There is a big swimming pool

The maintenance is not good, and there are many wall cancers in the newly opened hotel. Hygiene is not good and there are many moths and gnats. This is caused by unhygienic toilets. The security is not good. There is a rice field next to the swimming pool. Anyone can climb the wall to enter. When entering the villa, you will pass about 6 unbuilt buildings, and you will feel like you are living next to a construction site.

A very satisfying living experience, highly recommended!

Stayed for 3 days in one of the villa, we could say they are HUGE! we got 3 rooms with a private pool next to the rice field amenities are SUPER! Just in case you're looking for a "near everywhere" place, maybe it's not a good choice But they can offer you bike rental which helps you to explore surround (Batur/Kintamani, Ubud) area easier Since the concept of the villa is "natural" pls do expect some bugs and unwanted animals invasion sometimes :) Staffs are so helpful & nice!

Having waited long to stay in this place, here is an honest review with positive and negative feedback from our 3 nights stay. It’s a newly opened accommodation that I wouldn’t describe as a hotel. It’s a complex of villas that some are still under construction, however we weren’t bothered by any noise. There were downsides that are weird for an accommodation that describe it self as as “luxury retreat”. Cons: • No safety locker in the villa, which you would expect in any hotel. This was inconvenient. • Pool area lacks seating, contrary to the photos. We couldn’t fully enjoy the place. • The pool was very cold. It would have been better if they had a water heater. Additionally, the pool isn’t fully private, as guests from adjacent villas can see you from their first-floor rooms. • Every morning, farmers in neighboring plots would burn plants, creating an unbearable smoke smell that could seep into the villa if you left the doors open. This made mornings unpleasant. • No ironing board was available, so we had to use the bed, which was inconvenient. • The shower room lacks a shelf for shampoo and soap, which are placed above the toilet. Also, the shower room wasn’t fully covered, causing water to spill out. • The bathroom was small despite the spaciousness of the villa. • We were awakened in the early morning by loud noises/music from other villas. • Upon arrival, they send you the breakfast menu for each morning, but it lacks instructions on what you can order. Breakfast options need improvement, especially non-egg choices. • The hotel restaurant isn’t ready yet, leaving no place to eat given the hotel’s secluded location. Make sure to have snacks. Pros: • The staff is amazing, very friendly, and super helpful. They consistently had smiles and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. • They pleasantly surprised us with a cake as we were celebrating our anniversary. • The views from the villas are stunning, overlooking the rice paddies. • The location is secluded, allowing you to truly relax away from the busy city. • Indoor seating was convenient, equipped with a TV featuring Netflix. • The villa was spacious, clean, and well furnished. • There were no insects inside the villa. • We requested an iron, and it was promptly delivered. • The hotel arranged taxis quickly for us. • We reported a water leakage in the toilet, and it was promptly fixed.
