Domaine de Rhodes B&B

Such a beautiful place, with gorgeous gardens, a neat swimming pool, and fabulous breakfast. The main house is full of character, with interesting and period features, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Do check out the exact room details though - the single beds in our triple suites were small for an average adult. Perfect base if you have a car. We didn't and still nice location, but taxi to town min €15 each way. It's in a lovely part of the country. Breakfast was superb. Outside on large terrace or inside in dining room depending on weather. Cheeses, pastries, charcuterie, yoghurt, fruit - all high quality. And fresh boiled eggs if desired - to your preferred number of cooking minutes. The delicious jams, chutneys etc are also available to buy. Well-equipped outside kitchen, with a fridge shelf per room, so we could buy at market and have lunch or evening meal here. Drinks and snacks (eg crisps) available 24hrs on an honesty book basis. There's also a good restaurant within walking distance. Family-run business, owners really kind and helpful.

Super place. Made very welcome by Cyril and Emmanuelle. Room very comfortable, well appointed every thing worked. Air con working well and not noisy. Plumbing a bit quirky but soon got the hang of it. Fantastic pool, big enough for a swim. Breakfast outside, In beautiful gardens. We even had a picnic lunch in the gardens. Easy ( 3 minutes drive + 5 minutes walk into Avignon) had some great evenings in the city. Similarly, easy to drive into Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, some nice places, but the restaurants were better in Avignon.

My daughter and I spent one night at this lovely B&B prior to her attending a swimming competition in Avignon. We had a great time enjoying the large, lush garden (playing some badminton in the shade) and the room (Jean Villard) was spacious with a huge bathroom and we slept really well thanks to the comfortable bed and AirCon. The hosts were very nice and accommodating: we had to leave early in the morning for the competition and they went out of their way to make sure we could enjoy a lovely breakfast before leaving (and before regular breakfast hours). The location is also very nice if you are looking for quiet, countryside, Provence, yet being close to Avignon city centre. The only thing that I can think of with some room for improvement for a perfect experience would be the pool: when we stayed the water was not very clean (due to dirt and dead insects) so if you are looking to spend a lot of time poolside there might be better options. The residence doesn't offer meals other than breakfast but we received great recommendations for a neighbour B&B (10 min walking) where we had a lovely dinner.

We actually did not stay at this property. The reason for this review is to warn you that before you book your reservation READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS carefully! After I placed a reservation for two rooms, I discovered that one of the rooms did not have an ensuite bathroom and this would not work for our travel group. I cancelled the reservations within 3 days of booking. Upon receiving my credit card statement, the 30% deposit still charged to my account and I still have to pay over $600 in charges. Even after disputing the charges, I've been informed they are valid and I have no recourse to recoup the booking deposit charges.

Very quiet and calm b&b in the countryside. Host/hostess very nice and helpful. The rooms are large and quite historic. Bed were fine. Kids loved being in an old building. Very unique. Parking safe, gate. Breakfast good. It's funny living in such calmness and still so close to Avignon.

We stayed in Secret Cottage in late September 2022. The cottage is fabulous and the location is incredible for touring around Provence. Allowed us to easily go in all directions for day trips. Free car park on Barthelasse Island with frequent free bus service into Avignon. We were able to return each evening to the wonderful cottage and relax in the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Plus, the sunsets were gorgeous. The hosts are wonderful. We had breakfast at the B&B one day (extra cost if you are in one of the cottages) and it was wonderful. Locally made fruit juices and jams, plus homemade yogurt. Large number of items offered, from eggs, to meats to cheese. Probably the best breakfast we had in over 3 weeks in France! Includes access to washer/dryer combo machine so you can launder clothes too!

Bellissimo appartamento con arredi d'epoca,spazioso e pulito. Buffet della colazione molto vario e di grande qualità. Personale molto cortese e disponibile. Unica nota negativa il riscaldamento non molto efficiente. Consigliato al 100%!

Il n’y a pas besoin de beaucoup de mots pour décrire ce domaine : magnifique La roulotte est super mignonne, tout est dans le détail. La piscine est un endroit tranquille et colorée, on s’y sent bien. C’est l’endroit idéal pour aller sur Avignon en étant en retrait.

Absolument parfait ! Un havre de paix, un magnifique domaine… et le chant des cigales. Chacun trouve sa place et vit a son rythme. Les petits déjeuners sont excellents et les hôtes très gentils. Une seule envie c’est d’y retourner… Nous avions la grande chambre Frédéric Mistral.
