The hotel is just amazing. The staff was very friendly, the food, huge breakfast buffet and dinner, was excellent . The Spa area is exceptional. The sky spa offers a huge relaxing area with a panorama view and even a sauna on the roof with panorama view as well. In the backyard, there is a small pond to swim, as it consists of a swimming part and a natural part with plants. Even the view from the pond, facing the mountains, was beautiful and relaxing. From the hotel there are many hiking routes and they also rent bycicles (even electric ones). Recommend to everyone, that needs a relaxing weekend or a few days in the beautiful area

Perfect family hotel ! All you need is there for everyone : wellness, swimming -pool , music ( once every week students of the music - high school are playing a concert ) ; the rooms are very clean ; the food is perfect ; the reception and the restaurant team is very friendly ...

Hotel Krone is a rather outdated hotel in Au. At the steep prize-point (we paid about 300 Euros per night) we expected a lot. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. Let me start with the room - we booked a premium room and while we got a large room, it neither had a view, nor was it modern (there was carpet in the room) and the bathroom was extremely outdated. Overall not what I would expect from a premium room. The food was average at best - the breakfast had relatively limited selection and no offers like an omelette or similar. Dinner was poor 2 out of the three days we ate there (soups were very salty, etc). On top of this on two days we had dirty spoons on our table. Again, not what I would expect from such a hotel. The reception staff was lackluster at best. At check-out we mentioned the "issues" we encountered and all we got was an "oh, sorry". No "Thank you for your feedback, we will act on this" or "could we do something to convince you to give us another try". The restaurant staff on the other hand was excellent and very friendly. So, overall our stay here was a pretty big disappointment and I cannot recommend this hotel at the price point mentioned above (at half the price it might be considered acceptable).

Wir waren schon einige Male dort, aber dieses Mal war es nichts. Die Qualität des Essens, vor allem des Frühstücks, hat nachgelassen. An einem Tag gab es keine frischen Brötchen, sondern nur Laugenstangen. Das passt nicht zu dieser Hotelkategorie. Der Obstsalat war bereits vergoren. Das Menu am Abend war meist gut, aber auch da gab es leider an einem Abend eine negative Überraschung. Kein Vergleich zu den ersten Aufenthalten. Über die Zimmer, den Service und das Spa gibt es nichts Negatives zu sagen. Beim Auschecken merkt man allerdings, dass es 2 Klassen von Gästen gibt. Obwohl der Chef uns sehr wohl sah, ignorierte er uns, würdigte uns keines Blickes und sagte kein Wort, lief an uns vorbei und verabschiedete sich aber sehr herzlich von einem anderen Gast. Wir waren 3x da. 2x war’s gut, 1x leider gar nicht. Summa summarum reicht es noch für ein befriedigend, das aber nur, weil die ersten beiden Aufenthalte gut waren. Wir kommen nicht mehr.

Ein Aufenthalt im Hotel nach Checkout ist nicht erlaubt. Kostenpflichtiges Late-Checkout war nicht verfügbar, verständlich und akzeptabel an einem Wochenendtag. Aber dass selbst ein Aufenthalt im Garten (angefragt für eine Stunde nach einer Wanderung, Abreise vor 15 Uhr, also bevor die neuen Gäste kommen) nicht erlaubt ist, hat uns wirklich negativ überrascht. Die Rezeption verweist auf "Weisung der Direktion". Sehr schade, dass solche Regeln ohne Möglichkeit der Einzelfallbewertung erlassen werden. Gibt einem das schlechte Gefühl, nur Zahlender, aber kein Gast zu sein. Natürlich akzeptieren wir die Regeln des Hauses, aber das ist einfach nicht was wir unter Gastfreundschaft verstehen und ehrlich gesagt, auch erwarten würden bei 4 Sternen. Zusammengefasst, als reine Übernachtung in Ordnung - Service Fehlanzeige. Das geht anders (gleich in der Nähe!)

L'hôtel Krone In Au est fabuleux. Le personnel de l'accueil et du restaurant, les hôtes, Monsieur et Madame Lingg, sont extrèmement conviviaux et chaleureux. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la gastrononomie, les activités proposées chaque jour, le confort et le calme d'une chambre située face à la piscine naturelle du magnifique jardin bien arboré et fleuri. Sans aucune hésitation, nous reprogrammerons un séjour à l'hôtel Krone In Au.
