The Foundry Suites

The Foundry Hotel was phenomenal. The personal service was impeccable and the facilities truly unique and gorgeous. The rooftop garden is spectacular and I had the best cocktail I've ever had there while viewing the Acropolis as well as a wonderful picnic breakfast as well.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful small hotel. Great staff, a terrific neighbourhood and spacious rooms with hardwood floors are just a few of the charms of this property . The topper is a lovely roof top with views of the acropolis where you can have your breakfast basket from the wonderful Athenian Deli next door. We have stayed in different rooms and they have been unique with comfortable furnishings and outdoor spaces. Equipped with small kitchens and complimentary necessities this hotel is a real gem. Lots of great sites and restaurants within a short walk including Kuzina a modern Greek charmer.

Perfect hideaway location with easy walking access to Athens main sites. We stayed in room A0 and found that the ground floor location was tucked away just off reception. The room was really spacious with a lovely bedroom, 2 shower rooms and a really lovely living/kitchen area. For a 5 night break in February the location was ideal. The area felt safe and lively, with lots of choice for places to eat and some amazing street art. The deli breakfast is served in very cute picnic baskets, fresh everyday with the option to eat on the roof terrace depending on the weather. The whole team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily. You've got apartment living with hotel standards.

A very small, boutique hotel. Great staff. The rooftop garden is the perfect place to have a slow breakfast before heading out into Athens. We felt we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. And close to so many great restaurants.

This is our third time at The Foundry, located in Psyrri, adjacent to Monastiraki, which are both very interesting neighborhoods. We stayed several nights in Suite B-0, an attractive, spacious and comfortable accommodation. The attentive staff was well informed, as always. The 'picnic' breakfast was outstanding and the rooftop garden was lovely with magnificent views of the Acropolis etc. It was perfect for breakfast, a quiet afternoon read or a glass of wine under the stars. All-in-all, we had another excellent stay!

Thanks so much for the hospitality! The Foundry hotel is a work of art. The staff incredibly friendly. It was perfect for our quick stop in Athens. Location was great with the sights and nightlife in walking distance. An unexpected treat was the breakfast basket and having so many delicious wines on the menu. Highly recommend it. ; )

The hotel is breathtaking. The finishes are truly top notch and an absolute work of art. We must have spent an hour just admiring all of the unique details of the property. Each room is different and we loved that you can book the specific room that suits you. The location can also not be beat. You’re close enough to everything you need in Psyri, but JUST far enough that the walls aren’t thumping from clubs nearby. Couldn’t pick a better spot if I tried. The room sizes are generous and the staff is very warm. Someone is always available downstairs and in a truly intimate setting where you get to know everyone. A few unfortunate notes from our stay: 1) The (incredible) rooftop is open to the public and requires reservations, but no one will tell you this. On our last night in Athens we wanted to have a nice cocktail on the rooftop to watch the sunset but we’re asked if we had a reservation. We mentioned we were guest of the hotel but it didn’t matter. Our option was to sit in the weeds (with no view) or take a hike. The good seats get taken by local friends of the staff and hotel guests sit in the bushes getting eaten by mosquitos. I don’t have a problem with a reservation system and generally encourage it! We simply wish this was communicated because the rooftop sunset was a deciding factor in choosing Foundry. 2) Shower took hours to drain during our stay. (Photo shows about 5 hours after a single FAST shower) When we mentioned it to the front desk we were told “we know about the issue and have a scheduled visit from the plumber next week”. The resolution is to shower like you’re at summer camp (turning the water on for a few seconds to rinse so you don’t flood the bathroom). This was a frustrating experience when it’s 90+ degrees (35c) outside and you and your partner need to shower in the morning and for dinner. I recognize that this is a boutique hotel in a very old building, and in fact would not have given us any reason to complain. The issue for us was that again this was clearly something the staff knew about ahead of time and never communicated to us until we discovered it late 3) If you’re on the second floor you will be staying directly below the rooftop. You will hear every clank of anything that’s dropped on the floor until about 1am (on a weekday) I recognize that these issues may seem small, and I’m truly not one to normally complain, but for the price we paid for this stay (400+ USD per night) we were let down by our visit.

I would definitely come back this summer again! ☀️ We are wasn't living at this hotel, but by the friend was suggested to visit rooftop garden to enjoy the view.. what we actually enjoyed was cocktails!! We wanna know all recipes(haha, joking) Efkaristo for lovely evening to the roof manager Elias and his team!

It is such a perfect accommodation, extremely spacious rooms/flats, stylish interior design and an impeccable service. The best from two worlds: you have the spaciousness and amenities of an apartment (kitchen, terrace etc) as well as the cleaning service and breakfast of an hotel. We were already looking forward to the wonderful breakfast basket, that is delivered every morning to your room with all the delicious treats of your choice, and at the time it suits you best. So good. But best of all, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Catarina and Constantina were receiving us in the most friendly way and made us feel like family in Athens. Also the location is just top. We will definitely choose the Foundry again, when back in Athens.
