Sunrise Zante - Adults Only Hotel

Good small family owned hotel for Adults Only - what makes this place very peaceful . Rooms are decent size and very clean . Food is also great . Drinks are good just in All inclusive spirits should be available also during the day and not only from 6pm-11pm . All in all - we had great 4 days stay .

Lovely, clean, quiet family run hotel. Just as we wanted. Lovely staff. Decent sized pool. Enjoyed the food, never starved, restaurant style service rather than help yourself let’s pile as much food as possible on your plate and leave it. Breakfast I enjoyed pancakes, waffles, yoghurt and coffee. Bus stop to Zakinthos 2 minutes down the road, €1.30 pp each way. Only negative I could think of would be wasps near pool, toilet doors at poolside didn’t close properly, would’ve like toasties from 10 for the times I didn’t make it for breakfast.

My wife and I arrived in Zakynthos for an All-Inclusive holiday on 6th June 2023 and left on 16th June 2023. Our flight from Cardiff was due to arrive at 8pm but due to delays we got to the hotel at 10:15pm and we were the only two getting off the coach. We were then faced with steps up to the entrance but fortunately there was also a ramp. We checked in and asked if there was any food available as we were both starving but was told the restaurant was closed and there was no food available. We were also told there’s a restaurant across the road who may still be serving. We had a sandwich and drinks there which cost 25 Euros. We were given one key and was asked to follow the staff member to the room, we were faced with twenty steps and no lift. The room was quite large and spotlessly clean, there was no wardrobes or drawers where we could put our things. Over the next couple of days, my wife’s arthritis was getting worse so we asked if we could move to the ground floor but was told the hotel was full even though two rooms, we noticed, didn’t seem to be occupied for a few days. I mentioned to the receptionist that there seemed to be a lot of younger guests on the ground floor but us, as pensioners, were put on the first floor. She told me they don’t have the ages of guests before they arrive. Over the next few days, we asked on two separate occasions about moving but again was told the hotel was full. The choices for breakfast were the same every day. The cooked breakfast was cold, one day the egg was very underdone. The lunch choices were a set menu, but the food was hotter than breakfast. The set menu given at lunchtime was also given at dinner, but a chef’s special was added. One day it was risotto, another day it was chicken on the spit. One day we didn’t fancy anything on the menu, so walked to the Memories restaurant and had a lovely meal and the prices were good. This was about an eight-minute walk away. When we booked the holiday in the TUI shop, we also booked the shipwreck cove excursion at the same time. We were told the trip was about 8 hours long and the pickup was 7:30am. We asked if the hotel provided a packed lunch and we were told “Mention it to the hotel and they will sort you out” Two days before we were due to go on the trip we spoke to reception and was told the hotel don’t provide pack lunches for excursions, we also found out there was only snacks onboard. We are both diabetics and must eat regularly so we cancelled the trip. TUI refunded the cost when we got home as we had cancelled outside 24 hours. We did book another trip to see the turtles, this was only 4 hours and the only turtle we seen was in the harbour before we left. As I’ve mentioned, the hotel was nice and clean, there was plenty on sunbeds but how this hotel is 3 star beats me. Some parts of the hotel have three floors and no lift access. We often saw people with large suitcases struggling up the outside flight of stairs.

Our stay at the Sunrise Hotel was excellent. The accommodation was immaculate and the staff were lovely. The hotel had such a relaxing a**osphere! The music around the pool area in the daytime was perfect and the flowers in the garden were really beautiful to look at. We upgraded our room to have a plunge pool which was a nice touch. It was also great to meet the other guests who were all there for the same reasons as us - to take in the great sights, relax and enjoy some good food!! We look forward to visiting Zante again and will be sure to stay at Sunrise!! ☺️ Thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome and a special thanks to Limita for keeping our room nice and clean.

Rooms at the Zante were very clean and spacious, coffee machine but no kettle was provided. The hotel is nicely situated with nearby shops and restaurants if not going all inclusive like we did. The pool was nice and quiet, mostly as they were closing down, we were one of only guests there. Unfortunately the food is what lets down this hotel, it was a la carte with a rotating menu, quality was hit and miss, breakfast was not great, basics like croissants were not served and hot food choices were very slim and unappealing. We had our own pool but it was always in the shade and covered in mosquitoes so couldnt use it due to it being cold, and us being bitten alive. Overall a good hotel with friendly staff, nice location, plenty of parking and is reasonably priced.

Excellent standard of cleanliness.Food varied and tasty.Staff pleasant and helpful.Postioned about 20 mins walk from beach.There is some noise from nearby cockerals but not that significant.Nearest beach has crystal clear water for swimming but beach itself needs to be kept clean.Prices for sunbeds on beach is too expensive(up to 20 Euro per day).We only went on one excursion to Turtle Bay which was a bit of a con as there appears to be only one Turtle in the whole bay ! Don"t go to Langunas its pretty awful.

Lovely hotel, nice and small and not busy. Food Lovely especially breakfast, very relaxing. Room very clean and a twenty minute walk into the main town that has a good selection of bars, shops and tavernas, would recommend the castle taverna on the way into town, gorgeous authentic Greek food and typical warm Greek welcome

Myself and husband visited this hotel for the first time to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We had the most delightful stay. The room was immaculate, the staff couldn't do enough, the pool area was so relaxing and had plenty of sunbeds. The only negative was that we had to come home. I would love to return and experience this all over again.

On arrival staff were lovely and explained everything to us, we were shown to our room but was very dissatisfied, we had a room facing the main road with a massive pylon in front of the balcony and a very busy main road but we thought would give it a try. The next morning we were woken by several cockerels at 5am. We didn’t request another room as the hotel was full and we had unpacked everything, this continued through the stay. The plus side pool is nice area but people save sunbeds early, 15 minutes walk to the beac which is nice but they do provide free bus if you want it. Breakfast could be better and drinks in pool bar not a great variety and if you’re not all inclusive be prepared to have correct money they don’t always have change. Rooms cleaned well and frequently and front desk staff are lovely. No kettle in room, and fridge in our room was tiny and not very cold. It’s a nice place but I don’t think would stay again.
