Minura Cala Galdana & Apartamentos d'Aljandar

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apar**ent in the other section of the hotel. We were upgraded to a larger apar**ent which was lovely as we were 3 adults and 1 child. The apar**ents could do with a little modernising. And we were above the lighthouse pub which was noisy until the early hours. The apar**ent although being nice was very dark and had small balconies. Apart from this we were very comfortable there. The beds were very comfortable and the cleaners came often. The grounds were well maintained. We used the bar near the pool in the apar**ent section which was lovely and quirky. We were half board the food was plentiful and had a lot of variety. They had different themes as well. I am quite a fusspot but I found there to be ample choice. They had a gluten free section as well as options for vegetarians. The food was a good standard it could have been a little warmer but this didn't put us off. The pool near to the apar**ents closed a few days into our stay so if we were to return we would come back a little earlier in the season as some places were starting to close down as well. We visited the little mini disco for a couple of nights during the stay which our 2 year old loved. We used the toboggan bar across the road a lot for the little park and water slide. We did eat here for lunch on occasions and the Indian on the corner was one of the best we've been to. Overall we had a really relaxing holiday and would definitely return to the resort once again.

Hotel was newly renovated so fresh bedding and furniture, no scuffs on walls and kept very clean. I’d rate it more a good 3* with a paint job or not quite a 4*. Corridor tiling just stick on tiles and starting to lift and see points re bar and food below. Staff at hotel helpful. Room on 4th floor to the back. View at top of cliff. Floors lower at back look directly onto a rock and for me would feel quite claustrophobic and dark. Small balcony didn’t feel robust so didn’t use it. It only got sun early morning which suited us as kept room cooler as air con was blowing out hot air at lowest temp. Think that’s a Spanish green initiative but for those of us from cooler climates it’s a bit of an issue. Main issue with room was lack of noise proofing being its an older building. We could hear next door snoring, using the bathroom and talking etc. Rooms to front of hotel are larger and don’t have a balcony. They have views to the sea. The sun shines all day on these rooms so become very warm. Guests of the hotel apar**ents asked if we were staying in the prison as the corridors have very low ceilings that are door height. The resort regulars go to the apar**ents rather than the hotel. Food was ok. No fresh fruit juices, just concentrate out the coffee machine. Hot food not very hot. Meats cooked to order cheap quality. Although they had fresh omelettes/pancakes etc they were making them in advance so got rubbery and cold. When asking the chef for one she was just cooking she wanted me to use what had been lying out so I had to be firm that I wanted a hot fresh one. Fruit, salad and pastry choices fabulous. Bar areas felt like end of an evening with the bright lighting except the lighthouse pub which was external to the hotel but still owned by the hotel, which was good. Pool area looked well kept but overlooking the main road and had a nice bar/snack terrace off it. Lovely picturesque resort with river to sea and a shallow bay. Good for chilling couples and young families. There’s a small selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Beach clean and 2 beds and parasol cost €23.50 for the day. Water sports available but more the chill type paddle board, pedal boats, diving that kind of thing. We visited both the Artiems and Melia hotels. Artiems is rated 4.5 and you can see real quality differences. I priced it and for not much more, I’d pick this hotel if returning to the area. You can use either of these hotels to have drinks in.

The hotel is lovely and rooms lovely and clean. They didn’t have proper balconies so couldn’t sit out. The food is average but found to be not very hot. The bar staff are excellent and always available to get your drinks. The entertainment team consisted of 2 young girls who didn’t have a clue. I first thought the lead girl was the children’s entertainer as she not once mingled with guests. There was supposed to be day activities but never once did she walk round the pool. The acts in the evening were very good but were not allowed to sing after 10.45pm even when guests asked for encores as were told by same girl to stop and she was off by 11pm. No music played in evening even though bar open till 12.30am so ended being in bed by 11.15pm .

The Hotel lived up to all our expectations with newley refurbished rooms which were clean and the whole Hotel was kept very clean. The bar service was excellent espescially Julio. The Desk staff were very friendly and helpful in fact all the staff were excellent. The food was very good with a wide choice both for breakfast and evening meal. Always lots of choice from Fish, Meats, Salads etc. The pool beds were always plentyful with very little towel saving going on. The evening entertainment was very good with singers with a variety of styles and even a soloist Volin Player ( She could have benefitted from an electric violin has she struggled at times to compete with the background noise). The pool was kept very clean and was attended by a life guard all day. All in allan excellent hotel worth the 4 star rating in our view.

Just spent a lovely week at this hotel. Food was excellent, with a wide range every night for all tastes. The hotel, pool area and room was spotless. We had a room on the 1st floor with a private balcony/terrace with enough room for 2 sunbeds and a table and 2 chairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a fantastic week.

A fabulous little gem in Cala gandana, just returned after spending a week at this beautiful hotel, great staff very friendly and helpful, rooms have recently been updated and look fabulous, great powerful shower in bathroom, lovely food something for everyone, pool area is a pleasant area and looked after very well, we loved the evening entertainment that was on every night, everyone was up dancing and having fun, I’m missing it already, and il definitely return, thanks for a lovely holiday minorra hotel

This is a really great hotel. Within very close reach of the beautiful bay and beach. We upgraded to a room with a balcony which was perfect. The room was nice and quiet so we got a great night sleep. And the beds and linen were really comfortable. From the very moment we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly staff. They were always willing to help, with luggage, lending umbrellas, books, et cetera, giving us advice on where to go and what to do. Alejandro was particularly helpful. The breakfast was amazing. A great selection of fresh fruit, cereals, cakes and croissants, breads, cheeses, meats, English breakfast selection, freshly cooked, eggs, pancakes, and all the preserves, and a selection of juices and water. The dinner choices were also excellent. I’m a pescatarian and there were also vegetarian and good fish choices, along with a great selection of meats, soups, gazpacho, breads, rice, potato, pasta, salad Buffett etc. The restaurant staff were excellent and friendly. Particularly the older gentleman who always looked after us and ensured we had a wonderful table on the balcony. Every night there was also entertainment if you wanted it. Some of the singers and entertainers were very good. Particularly liked Nico the Elvis, Tina Turner, Queen saxophonist on Friday night! And the Motown night was great. If you have kids, there was also a kids club, table tennis table. We didn’t stop at the bar but it overlooks the pool and the stage. Always busy and fun. We didn’t use the pool as it was really hot and we wanted the seabreeze. There weren’t that many loungers and people reserved their loungers early with towels! But the beach is great, and we also walked to the other coves, which, although a hike was great to get some exercise :-)

My sister, myself and two friends spent 11 nights at the Minura Cala Galdana on half board in September 2023. The hotel was very clean and kept in good condition by the ever friendly staff. We stayed in one of the apar**ents which was compact but which had everything we needed: two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge/small kitchenette and a lovely patio with table and chairs and a view to the sea. The buffet meals were of a very high quality with fresh cooking stations for meats and fish and at dinner there was a different version of paella or fideua every night. Breakfasts catered for every type of food and every European nationality: British egg and bacon, French baguettes and croissants, German hams, wurst and rye bread and Spanish churros as well as juices, cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, cheeses etc. The swimming pool was lovely with plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel put on some good evening entertainment and the aperol spritz from the bar is the nicest I've ever had. Add to this the beautiful, stunning beach with turquoise waters and plenty of nice shops, cafes and bars and you have a recipe for a lovely relaxing holiday in gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in a strategic place in the island. Staff very helpful and kind. The only thing less good is the air conditioning in the room which was week. Very good breakfast and dinner. Very near to Cala Galdana Beach
