Hotel Montermoso

Hotel bien ubicado y cerca de Aranda de Duero y Bodegas alrededor. Un servicio de cafetería muy buen y buena comida en comedor! La sugerencia de visitar La Bodega de Ismael Arroyo en ValSotillo fue un gran acierto. Muy buen vino!!

The rooms have been modernised but a bit shabby in places. There is a beautiful sweeping staircase in the reception area. The a/c was very quiet. The shower cubicle could do with being regrouted- it was a bit messy with gaps- I'm sure it leaked to the room below. The staff were very friendly. As the car park was very full we booked a table for a meal in the restaurant in the evening as were too late for lunch. There was no need as we were the only diners, barring one other man that came in much later!!!!! My husband ordered the pork cheek and was served 2 enormous pieces of meat but there was nothing else on the plate other than the meat and sauce. Not even a token garnish pepper or tomato. I ordered lamb chops and was served with meat and at least 5 small jacket potatoes, cut in half. How very weird to serve a woman all that potato and nothing for my husband. Of course I shared mine with him and they were very tasty. I've lived in Spain long enough to know that the Spanish are not great when it comes to serving vegetables but the above was very odd indeed. Quiet location but in the middle of an industrial estate so nothing of interest around the hotel.

My girlfriend and I checked in together (obviously) and the hotel receptionist took both our names onto the register. She left her passport on the desk which the receptionist found but did not tell us. We discovered at Brittany Ferries check in at Santander that we didn't have it. She missed the ferry and it cost nearly 1,000 euros in taxis to return to the hotel, then to Madrid airport and an Easyjet flight back to UK. All because the hotel staff couldn't be bothered to find us despite us having both dinner and breakfast . Such incompetence and lack of care - and the room stank of cigarettes.

Very friendly reception staff but went down hill from there. Superior Room had view over back roof. Very dated in appearance. Shower very poor and scaled up and leaking hoses Dinner menu OK but not inspiring. Breakfast staff very indifferent and poor choice. Not worth the money. We will not return.

After a long drive North, we decided to stopover at Hotel Montermoso. We were so glad we did. The hotel itself is just off the motorway, so ideally positioned. Once inside, we were greatly impressed by its design and decor. Our bedroom which was on the second floor was roomy, and also had a bath, something that’s becoming a rarity nowadays in hotels. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was lovely. We went for the 32 euro menu which was excellent value for money. The staff were also so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again next year, but this time on our way South!

Excellent place to have a break when travelling down to southern Spain, staff were excellent nothing to much trouble and the hotel very nice and clean, will be using this hotel againon the return journey

There was one thing that really let this hotel down - totally USELESS wifi. They advertise as being “good for business” but frankly, the wifi was not fit for anything and certainly not for business. It drove us mad. I struggled to send emails, and was completely unable to download files. It’s like 2002, not 2022. Come on management, this lets down what would be a good little, reasonably priced hotel.

We’re arrived and staff were extremely helpful. We had lunch and the service was great. Breakfast was a different matter! It wasn’t clear where we were meant to go as they had a cafeteria and restaurant. It seems if you sit in the restaurant you get charged €10 each, there was no indication of this charge! The service was appalling and being gluten intolerant there was no assistance and they also forgot our coffee, which I reminded them of. The room was quite basic and had thin walls so you hear other people quite clearly. This was the most expensive place we stayed and the worst!

What a lovely hotel this is the room we had was very nice and spacious and has we arrived in January and snowing outside it was lovely and warm .We ate in the restaurant and was happy with the meal infact we were so pleased I booked it for our return journey With it been there Christmas it was decorated lovely There was also plenty of parking
