Beautiful resort with stunning views. Amazing service from stuff. Great food and lots of activities. Will definitely return!

Liked: - staff friendy and attentive - excellent service - Layout of resort is excellent with everything a short walk while lush vegetation made it feel private throughout - restaurants did not require reservations, (eliminated stress of booking) with very good variety and many options - many bar options surronding 2 main pools and near beach - rooms are spacious - accommodation buildings not too big and quiet - mutliple outdoor entertainment events daily - outdoor entertainment ended at a good time to allow guests who would like to sleep at 11pm For improvement: - resort starting to show a bit of age, and may benefit from some additional maintenance or renovation in some areas - bathroom by pools was air conditioned and too cold if you are a bit wet after swimming (perhaps not necessary to have AC)

Absolutely stunning property. The attention to details was second to none. The staff is wonderful. The beach front water and room was stunning. Our concierge Alejandro was outstanding. Made for a memorable birthday and honeymoon!!

The staff is amazing!! Our pool concierge Antonio Perez was really nice!! The service at the pool was amazing, concierge and waitresses!! The entertainment is the best!! Live music every day by the pool! We are really happy with the experience in this resort!!

Went during Christmas time and I will say overall the staff, food selection, drinks and customer service exceeded my expectations. Very well maintained and mannered. I felt safe during my trip and was able to have the fun and relaxation without any headaches, nor worries. Great job to management and their team. Will definitely book again.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay at Secrets Akumel. This is a beautiful property and I would absolutely recommend it. The grounds were beautiful. The size of the resort was perfect. Not too big and not too small. Easily walkable to the pools and beach. We found the food to be better than average for an all inclusive. I’m not a fan of buffets. Too many hands touching utensils etc, and unfortunately the buffet was the only option for breakfast unless you upgraded to the preferred club. We talked to a few people who thought the upgrade was worth it and some who didn’t. That being said, the food at the buffet was good. A large variety and made to order omelets. The other restaurants were also very good. You only needed reservations for the hibachi, which I thought was great. We could show up whenever we felt like it and we waited maybe 15 minutes tops. The service at the resort was excellent. From the bellhops to the servers and bartenders, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was nice enough, they brought us extra pillows when requested and extra water and beer. I found the bed too hard and the bathroom could use a remodel, but overall not bad. When we first checked in they tried to get us to agree to a breakfast meeting with the promise of some free stuff, massages etc. They claim it’s not a time share presentation but we found out from talking to others they are trying to sell a membership program. FYI We loved secrets and would return.

This place is absolutely perfect. Not only the facilities, restaurants, bars, and the beach are all pristine and impecable, but the service is 5 starts! All the way! Highly recommend.

This is an awesome resort for couples. Very friendly and helpful staff always eager to make sure you are comfortable and having fun. The facilities are beautiful. We love it and have visited 3 times. Tons of fun activities to participate in on the resort. Great snorkeling area. Great entertainment in the evenings. I highly recommend this resort.

Shared beach with public beach was too busy, restaurants on site are not very good. Food at the events was better than restaurants on site. Landscaping is beautiful. Staff is friendly. Entertainment team was not very enthusiastic.

This property was amazing! The staff was very attentive and added many small touches that made our trip wonderful. It was worth the extra money I spent. For my first time in Mexico, it taught me how much I am missing out on. One week wasn’t enough.

Great place to stay while in Cancun. The staff is super helpful and the food is amazing. Just love the pool side service. Roberto is the bartender at the barefoot pool side bar. He is excellent!!

This resort is impeccable. Service is 10/10. Facilities are 10/10. Dining options and food quality are 10/10. beach and pool activities are wonderful. The property is quiet, beautiful and secluded.
