Beautiful hotel by the sea, the view from the room was a little disappointing but that was our fault for choosing land view instead of sea view but I'm sure if we had asked reception they would have moved us. We spend a lot of time round the pool bar, the staff are wonderful and the hotel is spotless. The area around the hotel is full of restaurants and bars, had a quick trip to Chania 19 euros in a taxi, well worth a trip, would definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, beautiful pool area and next to beach. Staff all lovely especially Rafail and Stelios, very polite and helpful. Couldn’t fault breakfast, plenty of choice. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was the rocky/slippery entrance to sea, you do need swim shoes, and did see someone have a nasty fall. Gym good too if you want to keep fit. Some nice restaurants nearby.

We arrived at this lovely hotel at just gone midnight to discover we had been upgraded. Thank you SO much for that. A lovely surprise. The staff as ,others have said, are truly amazing. So kind, patient and helpful. Athena on reception helped us a lot and kept her patience throughout. The head barman at the beach restaurant and the head waiter in the evening were so kind and helpful. Because of medication I am on I can’t enjoy the full bodied wines I once did and they both went out of their way to find low percentage wines I could enjoy. Would we stay here again? YES YES YES!!! However…..what was a big disappointment was the evening meal menu does not change at all. The food is lovely, the souvlaki could be a little less generous but we would do Bed and Breakfast next time. We ate in a local restaurant a couple of evenings and enjoyed the Greek atmosphere. So concerned were we that for a forthcoming holiday in Madeira, in March, for heaven’s sake, we emailed the hotel to check if the evening menu is different each night, it was….phew! But thank you Thalassa Beach resort. We needed a rest and we got one.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. We wanted a quiet relaxing break and this hotel ticked every box. Great rooms, spotlessly clean. The staff - absolutely everyone was wonderful. Breakfast 10/10. Little extras like the cold flannels offered at the pool were so nice. Spa and treatments were very good, I had a few. We came to recharge our batteries and we leave relaxed and refreshed and wanting to come back.

Exceptional! A hotel with everything. Beautiful location on the beach with pool/pool bar. Modern decor. Spotlessly clean with comfortable good sized rooms. Breakfast and Dinner very good. The friendly staff were the hotels best asset. Amazing in every way! We had and excellent holiday and would recommend highly.

My wife and I have stayed here from the 4th August till 11th August and we cannot fault it. All off the staff from management, waiter's and cleaning staff are always friendly and will go out off there way to help you. It is one of the best breakfast choices that I have ever seen with a wide range on offer. Would definitely book to stay here again.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. location was excellent with option of comfortable lounges by the big pool or on the beach. short walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Staff throughout the resort were friendly and accommodating. Marvelous evening entertainment by the pool bar with a master violinist. Adults only also a big bonus. This was our favourite resort in 3 weeks of island hopping through Greece

We recently returned from a trip to the Thalassa Beach Resort. Upon arrival we were given a room which was not to our liking but the reception staff were very helpful and changed our room to a poolside room which was much better, plenty of hanging and drawer space and a lovely bathroom. We were extremely happy there for two weeks. The staff are lovely, very helpful and always with a smile. The beachside taverna, pool and bar area was great. The beach itself is a little rocky in places but we found a way into the sea in between the rocks. As it is adult only the vibe of the hotel was very laid back so much so that we could have stayed another week we were so relaxed! Aghia Marina and Platanias has plenty of tavernas and bars, the food is excellent all local produce but such large portions, we had our favourites and will try a few different ones next year. Thank you so much for looking after us and we have already booked through the hotel to return next year.

This was our first time at this wonderful hotel. We could not fault anything about it. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony with table and 2 chairs with an added bonus of having a clothes area to dry off wet swimwear. We stayed half board and the food at breakfast and dinner was lovely. Plenty of beds around the pool, garden area and on beach. The hotel was clean and staff were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Agia Marina is a lovely area with plenty of shops and restaurants and the next resort, Plantanias was also worth walking to. Chania is definitely worth a visit, which you can get to by bus. The bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. Thank you to all the staff and management for making our holiday a memorable one.
