Hive Townhouse

Quaint listed building with beautifully designed rooms. The breakfast was also great provided in the restaurant in the harbour. The complimentary mini bar was also lovely.

A lovely stay in a lovely room with some great little extras making our stay perfect. Very high spec bathroom. Whole place was immaculate. We’ve stayed in a lot of places and this is one of the best. Very welcoming staff at breakfast and food was excellent. We also ate there in the evening one of the nights and it was lovely. Would definitely return.

One word, “ Outstanding “ Rhys and the team are great hosts and cannot do enough for their guests. Rooms are stunning with lots of little extra surprises including tokens for free ice cream at the famous Hive.

Luxury room with a view of the harbour. Furnished to a very high standard with lots of lovely extras. Very quiet location easy free parking and the most amazing breakfast. All of the above provided by friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us.

WOW ... A beautiful stunning room ,done to the highest standard that top class boutique hotels would be proud of , small little details that make a huge difference to our stay from the complimentary bar with beer and cocktails in to the slippers bathrobes and other essentials supplied and ghd hairdryer, cables for you phones ,super luxurious mattress , breakfast was served from the Hive opposite with a great selection of breakfast choices included in the price and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating to our needs from the moment we booked nothing was to much for them .all in all I would definitely recommend a stay here ....

Simply Fantastic! I don’t normally write reviews, however couldn’t help but comment on the Hive Townhouse. The accommodation is outstanding from the moment you walk through the front door! The rooms are of a very high standard with lovely little extras and rooms overlooking the picturesque harbour. The morning breakfast was delicious with a great selection and staff really tentative and helpful. Can’t wait to stay again. Diolch o galon am y croeso cynnes.

Down the years I have booked and stayed at various hotels and places to stay in Aberaeron. The Hive townhouse is relatively new at the time of writing and is opposite the existing much loved ice cream and Hive restaurant. I must say the room was exemplary and furnished to a high standard with a great view over the harbour. The staff that I met connected to the business both in the hotel and morning breakfast the next day were very courteous and polite and a credit to the Hive. There was also some complimentary beers in the fridge and small cocktails with crisps which is always appreciated. However, back to the main aspect the room and I can genuinely say you can feel the warmth and feeling that has gone into creating the room and furnished to a high standard. As a treat to stay I was not disappointed.

A lucky find on the internet, we feel fortunate to have been among the first to enjoy this lovely harbourside townhouse which had opened for business just four or five weeks before our three-night stay. Fantastic location overlooking the bobbing boats and a beautifully appointed room with many 'designer' touches – clearly the work of professionals. Sitting on a pretty terrace corner, the three-storey building, formerly the solicitor owner's business premises, has been comprehensively refurbished and decorated to a very high standard. There are thoughtful room freebies like snacks and drinks (even a strawberry daiquiri if your fancy runs that way) and good quality toiletries can be found in the snug but beautifully finished shower room (there was also a copper-finish bath in the bedroom if that's what floats your soap). Breakfast – tasty and plentiful and included in the room price – is served just a few steps across the road in the Hive restaurant which has indoor and outdoor seating. Blessed with unexpectedly warm, sunny weather, we enjoyed dining on the terrace for two of our three evenings. Staff were smiling (mostly), friendly and helpful. Street parking was easy to find even at busy times. Highly recommended.

Perfect! Booked for one night. This does not disappoint - everything from the decor, furnishings, products is pure quality. The bed is so comfortable and bed linen / towels luxurious. The room has everything including nicely stocked mini bar, tea / coffee maker etc. But important to note that everything provided is top class brands. Breakfast is at the cafe across the road which looked fantastic however we had to leave early so we were kindly provided with a very nice breakfast bag each to take with us. A really good location and plenty to do. We will definitely return and highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
