Hotel Dengan sarapan di Samarqand, Uzbekistan

Kamar yang sangat luas dengan sarapan yang lezat! Stafnya sangat ramah dan pengertian. Terletak di ujung jalan yang tenang, suasananya memang agak gelap di malam hari, tetapi saya tidak merasa terancam sama sekali. Kuncinya memang sulit dikuasai, jadi saya menyarankan orang-orang untuk memperhatikan instruksinya. Saya tidak bisa menghitung berapa kali saya dibantu oleh staf… Secara keseluruhan, ini adalah pengalaman menginap yang luar biasa di dekat Registan Square, dan saya akan merekomendasikan tempat ini kepada siapa pun yang mencari tempat tidur nyenyak di dekat Registan.

We are so happy and satisfied with this hotel until the day we checked out. We were accused of taking the laundry bag which is worth 300k Uzbek SUM. I went up with 2 staff and it turned out it was in the drawer all the time (the funny thing is I never even touched it.) I don’t blame these 2 staff as I know it is their responsibility to make sure nothing was missing/stolen (though next time it would be appreciated if they can check it more thoroughly.) What truly pissed me off is the attitude from another female staff at the reception named Zarifa. From the moment we checked out, she just looked grumpy and when my friend said “we never used it”, she reacted with “I am sure you did” in a very rude way! Even later on, it turned out to be in the drawer in the room, she was not even apologetic (the other 2 staff at least said “sorry for the mistake.” This is one of the 2 five star hotels in Samarkand and I just hope what we paid at this hotel is equivalent to the amount of respect you show to your customers. The hotel really NEEDS to put more training in your staff’s service. By the way, we had a really nice chat with another staff named “Firdav” at the first floor bar (if I remember his name correctly, he is tall and bit skinny). He had worked in Hilton for 2 years and the professionalism and politeness he demonstrated is just another level. PLEASE LEARN FROM HIM THAT HOW A STAFF AT 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BEHAVE AND TREAT THEIR GUESTS!!

After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

Sejak saya tiba, tuan rumah membuat saya merasa seperti di rumah sendiri — sangat ramah, selalu tersenyum, dan sangat membantu dengan memberikan tips tentang tempat-tempat menarik dan cara berkeliling. Rasanya tidak seperti menginap di hostel, lebih seperti disambut di rumah seseorang. Sarapan setiap pagi sungguh istimewa. Segar, lezat, dan disiapkan dengan penuh perhatian — jenis sarapan yang benar-benar membuat Anda bersemangat untuk bangun pagi. Sarapan ini memberi saya energi yang sempurna untuk mulai menjelajahi kota. Lokasinya sangat strategis. Lokasinya sangat strategis, cukup dekat untuk berjalan kaki ke tempat-tempat wisata utama, tetapi tetap berada di area yang tenang di mana Anda dapat bersantai setelah hari yang sibuk. Saya senang bisa keluar dan mencapai landmark Samarkand yang luar biasa dengan mudah. Secara keseluruhan, Old Radio Hostel memiliki suasana yang nyaman dan hangat. Dengan tuan rumah yang luar biasa, makanan yang lezat, dan lokasi yang sempurna, rasanya benar-benar seperti rumah sendiri. Saya akan merekomendasikannya kepada siapa pun yang menginginkan pengalaman menginap yang nyaman dan autentik di Samarkand — saya pasti akan menginap di sini lagi!
