Hotel Dengan sarapan di Grand Est, Prancis

I was traveling with my daughter (youth). Our priority for hotel is location, near train station and safe for 2 female travelers. Le Grand’s location is fantastic, right opposite the train station and beside walking streets, everything was within walking distance. Take the local metro was also very convenient as it’s just at the main train station. The breakfast buffet was also good.

Terletak agak jauh (10 menit jalan kaki) dari stasiun utama. Apartemennya cukup tua dan rusak. Namun, kamarnya bersih. Benar-benar perlu perbaikan pada pertukangan dan tempat tidur. Pencahayaan agak redup di kamar. Kamar mandi cukup bersih, tetapi dudukan kepala pancuran kamar mandi rusak. Bagus karena memiliki oven microwave dan kompor. Bisa memasak sederhana. Tempat tidur tambahan untuk menginap semalam cukup bagus, tetapi tidak sepadan dengan harga yang dibayarkan, kemungkinan karena periode puncak Natal.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Reims train station, but reaching it was more challenging than expected. You need to exit the station through a specific platform exit that’s not easy to find, as there is little to no signage. We took the wrong exit, which added an extra 15 minutes to our walk to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were quite surprised by the reception—or rather, the lack of a traditional one. It consists of just a small coffee table with a single computer, where one staff member manages both check-ins and check-outs while constantly running back and forth to assist guests. Initially, I thought this was just a secondary station and that a more formal reception area existed elsewhere, but that wasn't the case. I couldn’t understand how one staff member could handle all the guests with such limited resources, especially during busy periods. I suspect it could easily become chaotic during peak hours. The room itself was quite small, and breakfast was not included in the rate. However, the hotel had an interesting offer: if we opted not to have housekeeping during our stay, they provided two complimentary glasses of champagne. We were happy with this arrangement, as we usually prefer not to have anyone enter our room during a short stay. We did enjoy our two glasses of champagne at the bar after dinner, which was a nice touch. That said, with no breakfast included, there might be better value options available in the area. It's also worth noting that finding a place for breakfast near the hotel wasn’t easy, with limited options within a 5-minute walk.

We had the family studio room for 3. Overall not too bad. Studio room w small kitchen and small fridge. Not much amenities. Bring your own stuff. The location was good and mall right next to it. Very convenient for shopping. And grocery too.

Had a change of plans and was not able to make this trip to Reims and therefore wanted to try cancel with Trip.com despite booking a non cancellable reservation. In the end, it was sadly not possible as the parties involved were unwilling to be accommodating so in the end I had to rearrange my schedule to avoid losing USD 200.  The gentleman at the front desk when we arrived was friendly and welcoming. He suggested we use the entrance with the ramp to bring up our luggage instead of the more conspicuous swing doors.  The room was on 6F and was ok. For the price I was hoping for more space. There is a weird shelf ledge against the wall where the TV is that was spanning across multiple walls that was annoying and dangerous since it was set at around 1.5 meters high off the ground. I bumped my shoulder a few times so it really is a hazard and should be removed if it isn’t purposeful.  The room is otherwise furnished in a modern and simple way. Wooden floors and plain wall tiles make it look clean and well kept.  The LED lighting strips in the walls and ceiling are distracting and would be better to be removed. It’s hard to watch TV with the glare and reflections off the flatscreen.  Minimal amenities and breakfast not included. Shower pressure was not strong and so I took longer than usual. All in all, I would imagine this to be 20-30% cheaper for what was on offer in terms of experience and furnishings.

Hotel memiliki satu kolam renang tetapi kami tidak menggunakannya karena bukan waktunya untuk berenang. Lokasi hotel sangat bagus, Anda bisa berbelanja di Saint Louis dan langsung pergi ke stasiun Frontiere (yang berjarak 100 meter dari hotel) dengan bus 604 ke E. Leclerc Saint Louis (halte bus 10), di sana Anda dapat menemukan banyak toko khusus Prancis. Dari hotel ke Basel sangat dekat dengan kota Basel dan stasiun kereta Bahnhof dengan trem 11. Kami membayar tiket mingguan selama 7 hari seharga 45 Franc per orang untuk Basel dan seluruh Zona Basel dan tiket seharga 47 Franc per orang untuk Zürich. untuk pergi dan pulang. Waktu berlalu sangat cepat dan ada banyak tempat wisata di mana-mana. Hotel Adagio tentu saja merupakan salah satu tempat yang akan saya rekomendasikan kepada pelanggan lain. The location was great and at walkable distance to two different metro stations and Louvre. With lots of restaurants and cafes nearby and a supermarket right across the street. There is a mini fridge below the TV stand which is great to keep my figs and peaches fresh. Staff was helpful and polite by greeting us every morning. Highly recommend this hotel.
