Exactly what we needed for NYE away. Close to the center so easy to go out and about. Double was really two decent twins pushed together for us which was fine as we were friends travelling. Shower was also lush- great pressure.

Excellent stay. The hotel is ideally located if arriving by train. We arrived in the morning and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in early as our room was ready. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a roomy walk in shower. The only thing that would have improved it would have been some drawer space as it only has hanging space in the wardrobe. All the staff were helpfull and friendly. We had an evening meal and breakfast during our stay and both were excellent. We also made use of the leisure facilties during our stay. Overall would highly recommend and if we visit York again would definitely stay at The Milner.

Arrived after a 4 hour delay on our train, when we told desk staff they where very helpful even gave us a complementary drink. All areas we used where very clean.
We had a low level Queen room i thought it was a bit small and basic for the price we paid (£180) 2chairs desk big tv and bed. No view except the wall of the street.I was awake from 6am as room was under dining area and I think kitchen could hear banging and chairs scraping the floor.
We where both very disappointed with breakfast..
The full English just wasn't! Scrambled egg, sausage bacon grilled tomato and hash brown and beans poor quality products and hash browns and tomes had run out a waite was over 5mins with rest of food going cold on plate. So did with out. Cold meat and cheese !!! Processed ham and cheese tasteless...what happend to local products?

A very convenient location located within the city centre of York. There are numerous bus stops just located within 3 mins of walking making it very easy to travel to rail station or designer outlet. Moreover, there are numerous groceries such as saintsbury, Tesco and M&S foods. 10mins walk to York minister. It comes with complementary breakfast as well and it has many varieties and delicious. From the room you can overlook the Clifford castle as well.

Celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary at the Queen’s Hotel. Situated in a great place close to bars, restaurants and shops.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Room was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.

Fantastic stay at The Grand. We had booked a suite but it was not one of the modernised rooms like we had hoped for. We went to reception and was greeted by India who kindly gave us options of 2 other rooms to move to and let us view both before choosing. The room we picked was fantastic, so modern, comfortable and even had kitchen facilities which was an added bonus. It was lovely to sleep in such a comfortable bed and not be disturbed by any street noise or noise from other guests. We went out for dinner and was surprised to come back to see we’d had a turn down service and little chocolates left on the pillows. Just little touches like this make you want to return and recommend to others. We would definitely stay here again, the service from all staff, but especially India, was fantastic!

TTamuOn the surface, this cozy place is probably a good bet for a stay in York. It's just enough outside of the city center to avoid all the tourists, but close enough to walk right in. The reservation process was great and the price is good. It's supposed to be a 4 star hotel and, in many senses, it lives up to that status. The staff is excellent. The food and coffee is very good and everyone is very attentive. The rooms are immaculate (heated bathroom floors are amazing!) and the amenities are great. That all said, there are some issues . Often the staff cleans the front area in the middle of the afternoon, which is a rather inconvenient time to clean as it is disruptive to the guests. Though the summer would be different, it was in the low 40's when we were there and heating in the lobby doesn't seem to be a priority for the hotel. We had to have someone set up a space heater for us in the tea room so we could stay warm, which was a bad look (tacky) for them. The biggest issue, however, we that they held a wedding event on the second say we were there. While it's completely understandable for hotels to host events, this particular location is ill suited to do so given the noise level of the event and the small quarters of the hotel. They had a live band, which sent the music to most of the rooms, making sleeping nearly impossible. Though they did move our room, we still heard the band, who played until almost midnight. Having a bunch of wedding guests being loud all lover the hotel also didn't help. The staff agreed with my assessment, which was to either not have events at all or, if they do, block out the rooms from being rented since it is impossible to merge the hotel with an event space. it's just too small. Ultimately, they need to make a decision about who they are as a brand, event space or 4 star hotel. I'd pitch they choose hotel because that is what it really is.

TTamuIncredible hotel with the friendliest staff! The room was immaculate with a very comfy bed, service from all staff was faultless, and location is just a short walk from the city centre. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in York, whether for business or pleasure!

From checking in and our room available early with welcome cookies which were warm and amazing to checkout the staff could not be more helpful!
The room was on the third floor clean, tidy and well presented.
The gym and spa facilities were all good and nice to use and relax especially on a Sunday evening!
The breakfast was buffet with a selection of hot and cold options the parcel machine was my favourite fresh pancakes which were delicious!
This hotel is huge but it's well maintained clean tidy and such an enjoyable experience for our anniversary!

JjojoduHotel ini berada tepat di luar tembok kota York. Seharusnya hotel ini diubah dari rumah tua. Kami tinggal di townhouse dan rasanya seperti memiliki lantai kayu, jadi insulasi suaranya sangat buruk dapat mendengar suaranya. Tangga lurus yang sempit hanya ada satu sehingga menyulitkan untuk membawa barang bawaan.
Ruangannya sebesar yang terlihat di foto, namun perabotan dan fasilitasnya terasa sangat mendasar.
Apalagi di kamar mandi, jumlah air di shower sangat sedikit, kurang nyaman untuk mencuci rambut, dan perlengkapan mandi yang disediakan juga sangat rata-rata.
Satu-satunya titik terang adalah tidak ada biaya parkir, tetapi tempat parkir tidak banyak.
Walaupun variasi sarapannya tidak banyak, tapi rasanya lumayan enak. Kalau banyak orang harus antri.

TTamuKami menikmati masa inap yang luar biasa di Mercure York Fairfield Hall. Tanpa terkecuali, stafnya sangat ramah dan sangat membantu, sekaligus tetap bersikap rendah hati. Sarapannya sangat bernilai dengan pilihan yang baik dan disiapkan serta disajikan dengan apik. Kami berkesempatan untuk meningkatkan kamar kami, dan kami melakukannya, sehingga mendapatkan Honeymoon Suite membuat masa inap kami sangat menyenangkan dan nyaman. Akomodasinya bagus, tetapi dekorasinya di beberapa tempat agak usang. Dari segi lokasi, sangat bagus karena berjarak dekat dari Park and Ride yang membuat perjalanan ke York sangat mudah dan murah.
Satu-satunya keluhan kami adalah tidak ada titik pengisian daya EV di lokasi, meskipun ada beberapa di taman ritel terdekat.
Secara keseluruhan, tempat yang sangat baik untuk menginap selama perjalanan ke York. Kami akan dengan senang hati kembali.

Easy parking either in the hotel car park (for a fee) or on the road outside ( for free) 10 minute walk to the town centre. Lovely hotel with quiet comfortable room. Very dog friendly. Staff were all very helpful and friendly
Good choice at breakfast and sat in the lounge with our dog to eat it. Great value for money and will definitely be back
