The room was nice and very clean and the location was alright given that it is 2' from the station and Matsue is a small town. Though there were enough dishes for breakfast they were more what you'd expect for lunch, the coffee was absolutely horrendous and there was none in the room, get your own. That said it was a good experience all in all, would go again

A boutique local hotel under the Excel brand, it is what I can expect. Everything works, good Tokyu group facilities. Felt that the car park fee at ¥1,200 per night is a bit high in this kind of city.

Suitenkaku was our first stay in a Ryokan. Those who want to visit Tottori, Izumo and Sakaiminato will find Matsue well located, while the Ryokan is next door to the Ichibata railway deserving the Izumo Taisha. The room was renovated and very spacious, offering a direct view to the lake. Above all, the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Real Omotenashi ! We are fully satisfied with our stay. Will repeat for our next stay in the area.

One of the most comfortable mid-range hotels I have ever stayed in after at least 80 nights in hotels in Japan. And the extensive breakfast buffet is the best I have ever had.

This is probably the best hotel chain (affordable) in Japan. Toyoko Inn's service is incredible. They provided assistance to the nearest car park , as well as provide free parking for guests (if you are early). The free breakfast at the hotel is restaruant level! Highly reccomended! Whenever you see Toyoko Inn, just book it. Nothing will go wrong.

This was a very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable and had a large window which was great for letting the light inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was quiet. There was one tiny issue where I could hear a buzz noise from outside but that was blocked out when the television was on.

TTamuWe stayed for three days and the hotel was beautiful. Very spacious, all of the amenities and such a relaxing hot spring tub. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and different each day, with local foods. The ladies who worked at the breakfast restaurant were very helpful and so nice. The front desk people were accommodating and easily aided us with any questions we had. Such a wonderful day and such a pleasure to meet James, the owner. It is really a lovely hotel.
