I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was exactly what I expected – clean, modern, and spacious with a super comfy bed and all the essentials. The lighting and decor gave it a cozy, upscale feel, and the price was definitely affordable for what you get. One of the best things about this place is the location. There are plenty of shopping options, massage places, and restaurants just a short walk away, so it’s really convenient if you want to explore without going too far. I especially loved the Monday night market right outside the hotel – such a fun and lively scene with tons of street food and local goodies to check out. Overall, great value for the money and a perfect spot for a relaxing yet fun getaway. Would definitely stay again!

My first trip at St Giles Southkey. I was greeted with smile when I check in. The service is wonderful nothing much to complain about. The room is clean and tidy, and they even surprised me with a cake on my Wedding Anniversary. Room was nicely decorated with balloons , such a warm welcome. Thank you 😊 🙏 💓 St Giles is just situated at Mid Valley Shopping Mall, so is very convenient if you want to stay at the same location for shopping and food. Breakfast wise, huge selection. I love their Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang. Overall, a good stay at St Giles Southkey, definitely coming back again.

Conveniently located just right opposite KSL mall, about 5-10 mins drive from CIQ. Check in was fast, requested for a high floor, near lift(as my mum had ankle issues) and non-smoking floor which was fulfilled by the front desk. View from the room was great. Room was quite spacious. Bathroom as well. All the necessary items were provided. They even had a mini magnifying mirror at the side in the bathroom for makeup purposes which I think was very user friendly for me especially when I’m putting my contact lenses. Hotel breakfast buffet had quite a variety of western and local food mixed, view was also very good. On 6th floor is a massage parlour (Thai odyssey) that has a 20% discount of massages for hotel guests only.

Good room size. Near to the causeway. Short walk to mall. Yes, kinda noisy. Not just the sound from the night market BUT also from the hotel’s music at the corridor. If you do find it too loud and disturbing your sleep, do let the front desk know. They can turn it off. Unfortunately, nothing can be done for the hard hard hard pillows…. Flatter pillow is hard and likewise, thicker pillow is hard. The blanket isn’t properly laid by the housekeeping, with half just the sheet cover. Sloppy. Front desk staff are friendly and the lobby guy is helpful.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet was spacious with complete amenities. However, the service was very disappointing. Room 808 had a strong smoking smell, and the floor manager just sprayed perfume to cover it but the smoking smell is still there. When I requested a room change, the customer service staff was extremely rude, telling me to call back at 9 PM because it was their break-fast time and i should respect. They were also reluctant and made it seem troublesome to change room. Propose Hotel management to arrange non muslim staff to handle calls during break fast timing in future, as Foreigners might not comprehend the situation. Another major issue was the parking system. It is confusing for first-time visitors, as hotel guests need to park at level B2 and validate their Touch ’n Go card for free parking. During dinner hours, the queue for validation was ridiculously long, with only one counter available. We had to wait in a line with more than 10 people ahead of us, which was frustrating, We are rushing for dinner, hence, we paid parking cost RM27 for just 3–4 hours, which is unreasonable. The hotel staff, especially the phone helpline team, were rude and impatient. Calls took a long time to be answered, possibly due to staff shortages during the fasting month and Hari Raya eve holiday season. Due to the rude staff and poor service, I will not stay at this hotel again.

Reasonable price for our stay. Our room could see the still-in-progress rail connection between Singapore and Johore. The Ramadan buffet dinner we joined was very good. Much variety of food choices. I think there was live music but we were seated where we could not see but only hear. The day we came on a Causeway Link bus T21 from JB Central - though only 3 stops away, but the road was jammed with traffic. So it took a while for us to arrive at the Zon stop ( Zon is a duty free shopping area mall where Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is next to it). You can also come this area to take ferry to places like Batam, ....

The viewing amazing which is causeway, swimiming pool & those yatch view infront of ths bedroom. We stayed with Anju more than ten time & all perfect, very high floor at 47 nearly the top

Amari was opposite JBCC and near CIQ. Walking distance to the mall means plenty of shopping and food experience. We stayed at the executive floor so we had access to the executive lounge which served free flow of food so we could buka puasa there. Every morning, there was a sahur buffet at 4am during Ramadan which was most appreciated. There were also one time complimentary snacks and beverages in the fridge. Overall, the stay was pleasant.

Very bad experience from this hotel specially room toilet shower was broken as I open shower it fell on me thanks I not got any injury or blood on my head I can sue or call police if I got hurt on my head with shower two times I call reception for repair nobody came then again call 3 time boy came it's really very very shocked I got save from head injury I need my refund from this hotel kindly refund the amount I already again don't want to book kindly refund amount as soon as possible not half full amount

Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. The Adventure Waterpark is conveniently located right next door with direct access, which was a key factor in choosing HR. The room size was adequate, though signs of wear and tear were noticeable throughout. A thoughtful addition was the step stool in the toilet, making it easier for kids to reach the sink for brushing. The beds could have been queen-sized instead of doubles for better comfort, but the pillows were excellent. The buffet breakfast was decent, though staff could be more attentive in replenishing food. The swimming pool was on the smaller side, but the availability of kids’ life jackets was a great touch. The water was warm, and the underwater music added a unique experience. Overall, a relatively good stay, especially if you’re visiting the Adventure Waterpark. Free parking is available, but we chose valet parking right outside the hotel lobby for RM35 for convenience as we are travelling with young children.

Nice resort, big rooms and toilet with deep soaking bathtub🛁we have sent a message to hotel about celebrating our anniversary there and our room was ready with balloons, message and cake to kick off the celebration upon check in🎈🎉next to a clean private beach. Evening Happy hours at beach bar on certain days! Nice swimming pools , gym , sauna and jacuzzi at change rooms. The in house restaurant by the kids pool has nice ambience and good food. Good breakfast choices too. Bicycles for 1st hour is free and nice tracks to go around the area. More food and live band option in the evening at Hard rock hotel across the street. The hotel provides shuttle service to Hard Rock Cafe and to nearby landmark buildings.

I recently stayed at a Lotus Desaru that, while a bit dated, was surprisingly well-maintained. The loft room was spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch, making for a very comfortable stay. However, the hairdryer in the room was inconsistent—it worked intermittently, which was a bit frustrating. The resort has a private beach which is just a 2-3 minute walk away (if your room is near the lobby) which made it easy to enjoy the sun and sand whenever we wanted. The breakfast spread was decent, though nothing extraordinary. It had the basics. The check-in and check-out process was fast, which I appreciated. Overall, while the resort may be showing its age, it still provides a pleasant and relaxing experience.

What a gem of a hotel! From the efficient check-in/check-out process, each moment was delightful. Also, the hotel has a very secure and safe environment Security personnel is also helpful and friendly. The room were clean and very comfortable, with many hand, face towels and bathrobe. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Desaru! Check in and out was efficient check-in/check-out process of the hotel. Their customer service is also commendable and offered us an excellent experience. We loved everything about this hotel, from room types, customer service, and facilities to the serene pool area. I will recommend others for sure! Breakfast, comes with many choices and fresh prata/eggs cooked on the spot. Many eateries within arm's reach. Will come back!

The resort was well maintained and beautiful! the hotel staffs were all friendly and welcoming. special thanks to Mira from the front office team. she was really accommodating and helpful when i asked for a room change because my room was really at the end and the view wasn’t what I booked for. I was travelling with young children and the view was quite depressing with a view of the carpark. after a few call exchanges, she provided us with a room change that was so much more beautiful and comfortable. we were all so thankful and appreciative for the help of Mira and probably her whole team. it made our stay so special. we will definitely come back again for our next trip to Desaru. breakfast was great, seriously our experience in this resort was one of the best in Desaru so far!

Pros ; Hotel provided guest parking in front of hotel. Clean and beautiful room but quite small for muslim to pray. Comfort bed and pillow. Got mini fridge in room. Ok bathroom with good rain shower. Good and tasty simple breakfast. All staffs were friendly and helpful. Appreciate it ! Cons ; The rate quite high for this hotel not provide iron and hairdyer in each room. Need to request. Only can watch TV3. Other channels were not clear. Please add more channels for guest entertainment.

Good location! Rooms are cleaned with broom! Seriously they need to bucked up with their method. Weekend was full. We had to wait for the rooms to be ready on a Saturday. Understand. The Restaurant is not offering good food. Sluggish. Had to drive out about 6km for decent good lunch. Nearest is a foodie WOODFIRE. A bit pricey. The pool is real good. Seafront beach. They are wasting their resources. Seriously thinking of repeating but maybe to a different Hotel

The best stay ever as the room given on my early Checked in by Amerald staff soo happy for the services! Room are directly given in front of the beach is awesomeness. Peaceful ambiences away from City! Im lucky i get fast check in room are clean and may improvised on maintenance on outdoor balcony. Food are easily get from hotel room service and next to lobby there is a reataurant serves delicious ShellOut set i ever tried with loads n generous of gravy given!👍🏻 overall all good because im lucky!💞🫶🏻 Keep up on maintenance of building cleanliness n deco then it will be more awesome!🙌

Staff at the front desk just okay. We booking for king bed but I believe it was just a queen size bedroom since we request for ground level as im pregnant. No lift provided. The interior was not very nice. The basic appliances were provided but the fridge is not functioning(not so cool) and not much space to set our foods and baby bottles etc.,. The worst was the smell from the sink (smells comes from the sewage) and need to open the exhaust fan all day long. Even i put soap the smell wont come off the smells comes from the drainage. It was bad i almost thrown up when opening the toilet door. I would not recommend staying here during monsoon seasons because we were not able to walk along the beach (the tide was high). The only thing i love were the environment of this resort (its so relaxing outside of the room) and the breakfast was superb. For dinner we went outside and eat at warung tepi futsal and the food were bad. The price almost the same as JB (quite pricey) even though JB still can get lower price.the staff at the pool counter was not friendly. His nails were so long and dirty . Not even smile at us. And answer our question smirkingly because we forgot our towel card.

We stayed in the pirate theme room. The room has a wet and damped smell. Carpet feels sticky. Room is a bit dated. Only reason I stayed here is the convenience of going to Legoland and free buffet breakfast with a wide selection of food. Kids love the in-room treasure hunt and prizes. If it wasn’t for the kids, I won’t stay here.

Great location with a clean and comfortable room. The staff were very polite and provided excellent service. There are several dining options nearby, including Western and Japanese restaurants, as well as a convenience store (myNEWS). Some attractions are also within walking distance. While the hotel is not in the city center, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy a peaceful getaway. Highly recommended!

Bahru I recently stayed at the Ramada Meridin Johor Bahru and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a pleasant environment that is both welcoming and relaxing. Excellent place for us to stay near legoland even though we don't go there anymore. A base for us to go Johor Premium Outlet. Service is excellent. I got stuck in the lift for 10 mins when it stalled. Staff was apologetic and even send me a card and fruit platter as a apology. The rooms are good and beds are comfy and clean. Just that toilets a bit moldy and kitchen utensils kinda of old. A new coat of paint and change of utensils will do the trick. Thanks for the hospitality.

It was an awesome stay!!! We kept playing with the slide and had a movie marathon, movies after movies. Oh the pool is huge! And not crowded. 5 stars given to the place!I love how the surroundings are mostly expats and away from the crowd and noise. There's alot of eateries around too. But only one thing, the towels are not that clean. There's traces of dirt spots. But we had planty of towels so it's ok. Theres a nearby shopping centre which is not that great. It is big but the shops are not great at all. But there's family mart! Our favourite! Most importantly, we would come again to just chill, be a couch potato and play indoors and the facilities provided.

Location is good for a quiet staycation. Issue is the room is very dated - sofas are in bad condition and bathroom has smell of dirty recycled water. The amenities provided were also much lesser than last time I visited this place - now need to PAY 100 RM for Wine glasses! It is not deposit amount but an upfront payment which was not pleasant. Book the neighboring Fraser place instead.

What you see is what you get. The studio room was clean and spacious with many amenities such as dryer, microwave and so on. The bed was super comfortable and had great sleep throughout the nights. Water pressure was good with heater. The common corridor was so windy even at 11th floor. Pool is Olympic size and kids friendly. There was a sauna but didn't have opportunity to use it due to lack of time. Checking in process was simple but with minor hiccup as initially I couldn't figure out where Tower C was as I saw only tower A and B. My bad. For anyone who get Tower C, I would suggest to park your vehicle at LG floor for easy access. Tower A & B could proceed with G floor parking. Great place and would recommend to anyone who wish to put night(s) there 👍

This is the 2nd time we stayed there. Easy check in. Everything is self service as it’s a service apartment. This place is nice and quiet. So no need to wait for lift for long. Private parking. Good view. The only set back is it’s not near to town. If have vehicle will be easy. Near to legoland. Quite near to Eco Botanic where there are lots of food, massage shops. It’s a pretty new estate.
