An overall bad experience. Despite the superb facilities and comprehensiveness of the hotel (private beaches, a variety of food buffets, etc.), the service was absolutely terrible. As I stayed 2 nights more than my friend did in the same room, they wanted to keep my friend's passport at the reception to prevent my friend from just free riding all the services in the hotel. Let's say this is reasonable; however, they were so insecure that they need to watch my see my friend's uber to arrive at the hotel lobby before they could finally return her passport, and they said even if my friend just stayed at the hotel lobby overtime (without using anything), she needs to pay. Like seriously ***.
Minor inconvenience:
- Needed a charging cable in the midnight, requested at the reception, rejected. They said I could keep my phone at the reception but could not lend me a single cable.
- Poor wifi connection in my room, asked for help at the reception. The receptionist said if the phone is working in the room, then they could not do anything. The problem remained unresolved.

The hotel is large, clean and tidy, and has a swimming pool, beach, bars and restaurants. The hotel service staff was also okay, and I didn't feel any discrimination against Asians. Although the decoration of the room is a bit old, it is generally well maintained and the TV is considered a new model. You can eat in the restaurants of the two hotels, Alpha and Alma, but you must make a reservation at least one day in advance. The buffet seems to have a lot of choices, but not many delicious ones đ For Chinese people, they all taste pretty average.
Very good hotel
Clean rooms
Check-in and check-out process was perfect
Pools and aqoa were amazing but there is no deep pool all the pool is 90cm hight which is not good for me.
The food variety is limited in some meals
The animation team is very good at night but not very active in the morning.
I would like to thank MR kerolous from the receiption team and MR Adel rhe head of food and beverages for their professionalism and their politly way.
Thank you and I will come back again
We went there at the end of February, and it was still very cold. Foreigners were all wearing swimsuits, but we never took off our down jackets. It was very windy at the beach, and it gave us a headache, so no one went into the water. Although it was all-inclusive, everything tasted terrible, but luckily we brought instant noodles and pickled mustard. The strong wind caused the sea trip to be cancelled, which was quite boring. The waiters were indeed more enthusiastic towards foreigners, but if you actively ask, their service was also OK. After moving the luggage and taking it to the room, they would wait for tips.
The hotel is indeed beautiful, but the room is small, the wind is strong outside, the food is unpalatable, and there is no sea trip. I don't want to come again for a second time.
It is recommended to come back when it is warmer

The hotel is located in Soma Bay on the Red Sea, more than 40 kilometers from Hurghada Airport, not the majority of people living in Hurghada and Marti Bay. This position has advantages and disadvantages: the disadvantage is that there is no supporting business, there is no business to buy, no way to take a taxi, only the hotel car (no expensive); the advantage is quiet, the entire bay only Westin, Sheraton, Kempins Base and a diving club, so the beaches on the other side are European and American foreigners, did not see other Chinese. The Westinâs beach is far from the hotel and the hotel will be transported with the shuttle bus, so it is inconvenient to play with the sea. But we went to the Westin golf course, which was great. The facilities of the hotel are of course good, the building is renovated and the room pool gym breakfast, etc. are top notch. But I have to spit on the service. When checking in in the lobby, the attitude of the front desk was polite on the surface, but the room for us was particularly bad. I specially booked the golf sea view room and gave it to the far side. Since Soma Bay has not been fully developed, it is now undergoing major construction, giving me only 200 meters of work space in the room, which seriously affects the landscape and rest. I suggested that I had to change a room. The front desk lady was very reluctant to say that there was no sea view room. Then I insisted on asking, only to say that there was only a lower floor facing the room on the edge of the atrium pool. Later, when I was playing, I was close to the original room and found that there was no one in the area. If I stayed, I was the only one who lived near the construction site. After returning, I complained to Ctrip, and the hotel actually told us that Ctrip had changed the room. The sea view room has been upgraded to a pool room. The room service is basically not available. The service during the meal is also normal. After pouring the coffee, even if you add milk and sugar, you will walk away without much attention.

We liked everything very much, at first we were skeptical, but during our stay we understood all the advantages of the hotel, the pools were clean, we got a new room (for which a special thank you!đ) clean, they immediately brought a childâs bed, the beach was clean, many sun loungers, comfortable. The service staff is very friendly, the food is varied. 30 min drive to the airport. Let's come back here again!đđźđđźđđź

It's a good resort hotel. Guests of the hotel are basically white people. You can see the blue sea through the window of the balcony in the room on the first floor. The water is very blue and beautiful. I'd like to recommend this resort town.

AAlbusChenThe facilities are relatively new. It is a group of small villas with one floor. There are many activities, most of which are free and can be played from morning to night. The beach is also very large. You can see corals and fish when you go into the water, but it is quite far and you need to take a shuttle bus to the beach. There are also snacks on the beach, so you don't have to worry about being hungry. A paradise for taking children on vacation.
In addition, the service is very good. The security guards kindly remind you of the parking location. There are girls at the front desk who give lollipops to children when you enter the door. We arrived in the morning, and the front desk also let us check in early after communication. The water park has security in place, and there are safety officers for each project.
XxuecqThe hotel environment is very good, with several swimming pools. The food is also very good, with sufficient supply and timely replenishment. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a family room with 2 bedrooms. However, the air conditioning system in this room was a bit faulty, so we asked the front desk to find someone to fix it, which was what they should have done. After the repair, we didn't give a tip. On the second night, there was a power outage in our room. We contacted Ctrip's customer service to coordinate, and finally gave a tip to get the power back on.
BBryce van de LaarThe Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but itâs also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted.
The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes.
We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a âhoneymoon massageâ at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyoneâs taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along.
There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and itâs always worth checking out the âfresh-from-the-grillâ area to see what the dayâs speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from whatâs served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddiesâ menus).
The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but itâs good for the planet).
Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.
AAaronI stayed at this hotel for 6 nights for my partnerâs birthday. From the time I got there the hotel was very helpful with giving us a upgraded room and then going further to decorate the room/bed with heart pillows and pillow doves. They also provided a birthday cake twice on the day we arrived and on her birthday which we couldnât be anymore thank you. I want to give a big shoutout to ďżźMohammed the room cleaner, everyday was a surprise coming back into the bedroom he would decorate the room/bed with towels making different animals etc. Food buffet was really nice also had ice cream. ( I would say the hotel should make it so guest can get scoops for ice cream during the day not only for dinner) you get ice cream during the day but itâs ice cream lollipops etc. animation team was really good always involving everyone, want to say a shoutout to all the animation team especially mo salah, high energy and kept everyone very entertained. The beach is sandy! The photos donât do it justice as the photos I saw online shows it to be stone beach with a bit of sand. The WiFi is good for a hotel which can be used on the beach. We was able to get a sun bed everyday by the many pools and beach. Nothing to fault this hotel was really amazing! (Thatâs coming from someone who only stays at high quality hotels).
GGuest UserThe Regina is a basic all inclusive hotel right in the centre of Hurghada. Easy walking distance to the Marina and bars, restaurants etc are right outside the front door. Majority of staff are friendly, tips get you better service (as in most places in Egypt).
Samir who cleaned our bungalow was absolutely fantastic, every day he left something else in our room that helped us enjoy our stay. From a kettle (not typical to get in Egypt all inclusive) to hotel embroidered slippers and a wonderful smile every single day, I hope the management cherish him as he is simply brilliant.
The bungalow was spacious enough but the shower was tiny, beds comfy, plenty of clean towels too.
The food is basic and not to the standard Iâve had in other hotels in Hurghada but there was always something to have. The beer is poured in to small glasses from a bottle and all the spirits are local equivalents. If like me you need coffee early morning (before 7) then youâll have to pay for it. They have a machine in a little cafe area and at the pool/beach bars but machine coffee is not available whilst breakfast is being served. Instead itâs provided in a huge urn and not very palatable.
If you arrive before 3pm youâre not entitled to have lunch or dinner after 12 oâclock check out on your last dayâŚthey cut your band off when you check out. If you check in after 3pm then you can get a voucher from reception which allows you to have lunch. Iâve never had this at any other hotel in Egypt (this was my 18th visit) and adds to the basic feel of the hotel.
If youâre looking for a cheap hotel to enjoy the ever present sunshine then the Regina could be for you.
HHuseyinOzcanHotel is half-pansion system means you have a good breakfast and a good dinner. Hotel has her own beach and heated pool. If you used to huge hotels this hotel is like a small nice boutique hotel.
Hotel is very clean. Rooms are cleaning every day. Bottled water, coffee, tea and kettle are suitable every day in the room. Flat tv, refrigirator and clima are in the room. I couldn't be able to start the clima machine for heating but there is a good machine. You ask hair drier from reception for free.
Restaurant is also clean and meals are enough and delicious.
If you will go to early tour hotel prepare your breakfast for free and if your tour return late hotel prepare and serve your dinner late. Just tell the reception you will go early and returning late. They just ask 50 eygpt pound per person for packing the meals.
1 gb internet for room is not enough for the stay but you can buy extra from the reception.
Only one card for a room and extra charge for second room card is not fair.
Whole employee of the hotel are very kind and try to help you but each of them should ask everthing to manager.
Taking pitza or something from outside is a problem. Also alcohol is not permitted in this hotel as mostly in Egypt. I think hotel needs more customer needs and pleasures based; not rules based.
They need to have a fair price for early checkin and late checkout. May be just for shower.
Tour desk in the hotel is very helpful and fair price.
If you have any problem find Mr. Alla and Ms. Ruvan. Your problem will be solved faster.
I advice my two friends to checkin this hotel and they checkin. I will come back.
ç¨ç¨The general service ecology is good, but the front desk generally has a poor attitude. I have encountered several things and found different front desks. The attitude is very poor. Only the lobby wifi is free, so the lobby is free to surf the Internet because we bought the data ourselves. Itâs okay if there is no wifi in the room, but the signal in the room is very, very poor. I dived out to sea and there was a 4g full grid in the middle of the sea. In the room, a WeChat message was often sent out for two minutes and it was still in circles. If you want to experience a person The quiet world, welcome to live.
Speaking of diving, the dive center in Hilton is a pit. We collected money for 5 dives, but only arranged 4 dives. In the end, the dive found various reasons not to take us, and when we started to pay, we must To double check, we wanted Euros at the time. We wanted to pay in US dollars. The person who collected the money pretended to help us check the exchange rate and over quoted us the price. Fortunately, the locals had been scammed by the locals before. After checking it, he told him that the price was wrong, and he said that he had calculated it wrong. And when diving on the first day of the two dives, there is still 100-120bar before the boat rises, and there is no reason. On the second day, another dive guide kept asking us to buy a photo package instead of throwing the phone on the spot. It was a very poor experience.
The hotelâs private beach is not very good, the water is muddy, there is nothing to see when snorkeling, and there is no living creatures. The water quality is not as good as the hotelâs private beach in the city center.
The only bit of food is okay. But the beer is mixed with water.
Will not book this hotel again, and will not recommend it to anyone, who is going to be stupid.
GGuest UserQuite good all inclusive - plan, nice assortment of coctails and food. Only the ala cartes could be better. They serve same food than the buffet but you just get is served to the table. More variance. Also the reservation for the ala cartes is difficult and they are always fullybooked so we couldt even try them all.
Waiters seems to serve more the house personnel who weirdly eat with the customers at same restaurant. It didnt feel nice when the cook sit whith his kitchen clothes next to us or the officers with theis suits when you are yourself at holiday mood and dressed accordingly. Usually there is own cantines for workers.
Not the best beach, there isnt anything to see compared to some resorts with reefs with lot of fishes but they do have a free golc course (Par3) so it compensates, you cant have it all, can you.
Big pool was freezing, even the sea is warmer so if you rely on that one and dont like to sea then you will be dissapointed. We liked the beac more as the pool gives the swimming hall wibes with the dreary tiles. I wish they would make pools more exitng and this is not for Steigenberger but generally.
Nice touch that they filled the minibar daily with coke, beer and juices and it was included.
They had some kind of evening program but unfortunately it was always in the front of buffet restaurant so you would need to dine there to enjoy it. Why there isnt anything at the beach? Beach parties, disco, dance shows etc. It would be nice!
SShifentiaoMost of them are European and American families. If you are traveling with children, I recommend staying here. You must order three meals a day to ensure satisfaction. Children can have fun. There are also children's programs in the evening. If you are not on a long vacation, there is no need to stay in this type of hotel just to visit the Red Sea water project.
Facilities: The hotel has many restaurants, buffet restaurants and reservation restaurants. Some people say that they cannot make a reservation for the seafood restaurant, which is possible. Other restaurants are also good.
Environment: I am very satisfied with the environment and supporting facilities. Although I donât like to go to the swimming pool in the afternoon sun, I like to get up early for sunrise and the beach after sunset.
Service: The habit of tipping is what Egyptian waiters expect now. My suggestion is that if you are satisfied with their service, about one dollar is fine. They will be very happy and positive. You will also get more positive and friendly service.
