Dongjiang Lake is a huge area with tons of things to see, do and explore. When entering you can buy tickets which include bus and boat and rafting tickets. The bus takes you past a dam and to the main area with restaurants and shops. You can then walk to some of the waterfalls and shorter paths. The boat from there takes you to the island after a 20 min cruise where you can do more walks or go into the huge limestone karst cave which you can see in my pictures is truly spectacular. There is an option of white water rafting on the other side of the lake which I didn't try. The cave was the biggest highlight for me, it was cool and damp and the paths lead you up and down and around the maze like cave for about a 20-30 minute walk. There are bats on the ceiling and huge limestone features everywhere lit up by multicoloured lights. It's like an alien world and something that no pictures do justice. The cave is very large and at the end of the path you can buy souvenirs. In dongjiang lake I would recommend trying some local small spicy fish snacks. #mountainview #staycation
